Predictions for the 2015-16 season

#1

We have football in six days, so lets get some predictions for the season going. Lets go with the power five conference winners, four playoff teams, Heisman winner, and the eventual national champion.

Conference Winners:

ACC- Toss up between FSU and Clemson, but I'm gonna roll with FSU. I don't think Watson will stay healthy for the entire season, as he looks to be made of glass. FSU's schedule is easy enough to make it back. All depends on the QB play and if the defense takes a step forward from last year.

SEC- Alabama

B1G- Ohio State

Big-12- TCU

Pac-12- Oregon

Playoffs:

(1) Ohio State vs (4) FSU

(2) Alabama vs (3) TCU

National Championship:

(1) Ohio State vs (3) TCU

Winner: Ohio State

Heisman winner: TCU QB Trevone Boykin

Those all seem to be the popular selections for conference champs. I think there will be a dark horse team this year that makes it's way into the playoff. I like UCLA but it is tough with a true freshman at QB.

Hahaha... Big John will be reading this post all season.

And TCU's QB is not winning the Heisman.

Take a look at the schedule, chief. It's very possible.

I think they will easily be 6-0 going into the Ga Tech game.

Tech is the game that scares me most this season. I'll just say we lose so I don't look like a homer.

He may be right, but the schedule is what will keep them out of the playoffs, imo.  They have a couple decent games (at least from the looks of it pre season), just not enough.

If you lose to Tech, then that means VT wins the ACC title.

VT is THE Tech.

After week 1, it's clear UF is the team to beat.

I like how Big John called Clemson's QB "Glass" and said Boykin (TCU) was going to win the Heisman.... what a load of Jaguar.

It's a prediction chief. They don't always come true. I was wrong on both. Oh well.

I am sure he is devastated to hear that from an anonymous message board troll with a cigarette smoking monkey avatar. Probably ruined his day.

(This post was last modified: 11-09-2015, 07:01 PM by JaguarsWoman.)

I am surprised this topic did not garner a lot of interest. Usually a lot of posters are interested in predictions.

Now many fans need to update their predictions because TCU, LSU, and MSU finally lost on the same day. So now we are down to Clemson, Baylor, Ohio State, Iowa, and Oklahoma State on the undefeated list if you don't count the AAC's Memphis and Houston.

I think if Alabama wins the SEC West division, it is only because of the tiebreaker. It is unlikely LSU will lose another game before the playoffs.

In the Big Ten, we will see the game that everybody wanted in 2002: Ohio State vs. Iowa. And the Buckeyes will probably win it.

TCU seemed to play itself out of the CFP last week, but can still beat Baylor. I am not ready to say the Horned Frogs are completely out of it.

If Stanford's opponent in the Pacific 12 CCG is not Utah, I will be shocked. No other teams in that division are as good as advertised.

Nobody has a realistic chance against Clemson in the ACC Championship Game except the guys in black and white shirts.

Are you a Gators homer? Even before Will Grier was suspended I expected Florida to lose at LSU.

/had them in the playoffs even though they were supposed to be "down".

I can't take you seriously anymore, Big John
