First of all, I completely agree that Bortles is a good QB, and those that continue to pan him are wrong, in my opinion. We agree on this.

 

But your logic is so terrible here. You explain that you are not just hating on Bradley for no reason, thus you are not simply a hater. Correct. But the people who argue that Bortles isn't a good QB also have their reasons for thinking that way, but apparently they are 'haters'. Don't get me wrong, I think that Baconator chap talks a whole lot of nonsense, but in his mind he definitely has reasons for his opinion! 

 

Yeah, I didn't really delve into that...  Probably should have left it out.

 

But since we're on the topic, the difference, in my mind--And tell me if this seems logical or flawed--- is that BB5 haters ignore facts that show that BB5 is indeed doing things that make him a good QB.

 

Where as us Bradley haters don't ignore facts and concede certain points.  For instance, most us haters of Bradley ignore the first season and some of us (me) ignore the second season.  You won't ever see me mention his losing record in terms of the first 2 years...  I only focus on this year.  I understand that the talent wasn't there the prior years and BB5 was a raw rookie.  

 

And as recently as just yesterday there was a discussion of the onside field goal.  I personally am not going to "hate" on Bradley for the decision to go for the onside kick against the jets...  To me, it was a call that could have gone either way and should not be something to dump on Bradley for.

 

Lastly, none of us haters are going nutz over the fact that we didn't can him during they bye week, when in fact, most illogical people would be freaking out over him not being fired after almost 2 and a half horrible seasons.

 

To me, this shows that us Bradley critics should not be lumped in with the Baconator and Rocdees of the Jungle.  Those guys cannot see logic, they refuse to acknowledge facts...  I don't think that's the case with MOST (key word) Bradley critics.  

 

That's all I'll say about that.  I've been told I talk too much about Bradley, so I don't want to derail this thread.  I just wanted to make my point.

6-8 wins means the goes 4-4, 5-3 or 6-2 down the stretch. I think any of those would be classified as a miracle turnaround.

I dunno man... if you expected 6  (I predicted 8-8) and 6 is what you end up with, after watching a lot of close single possession games, I don't think much will be "turned around" it'll be more of bounces falling our way.

 

It's a weak schedule. And with how we've been playing, eliminate a couple of mistakes and there is no reason to think 6-8 wins is reasonable.

But if you consider it a miracle and would accept another year of Gus... I suppose it's all the same.

 

I do think there is a solid chance this team makes a run... like.. 6 of the last 7, ending at 8 wins.

To me it isn't a miracle turnaround, it's the eventual evolvement of the team (and maybe the coaching staff) I expected.

 

Anywhere near 8 wins has me expecting the division next year as an honest expectation/goal.

 

But I'm also in the crowd of "with this schedule, we better see some wins or else" on the Gus side of things.

There is 0 reason this team should end the year with less than 6 wins.

Houston, TB, Indy and NY were all very winnable games and yet we couldn't beat them. I don't see how anyone could assume we are going to finish the season strong. Could it happen? Yes. But it's far more likely the same problems will persist.

Meh. If the team is on the ascent like we think it is, I think it's every reasonable to expect at least .500 from here on out.
