NFL says we should have lost the game

#21

Quote:Karma for the Ravens late hit on Bortles that wasn't penalized...not to mention some of the most blatant PI no calls I've seen this season in the red zone yesterday.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything about late hit to Bortles head not getting a flag being a missed call.

Nearly every other QB in the league gets that call, why not BB5?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

You can watch damn near every game and see a ref making an error, who cares.. Tough junk..

Move on.

Our win at Baltimore comes with a big asterick: It only happened because of an officiating error. NFL spokesperson Michael Signora told Marc Sessler not all 11 offensive players were set at the snap so we were supposed to be flagged for a false start. That would have ended the game before Elvis Dumervil could get to Blake Bortles.

Quote:2 pt conversion attempt was just silly.

I didn't like it at the time either. Let Meyers kick the xtra pt and go up by 2 FGs, especially since he had missed that 26 yd FG.

Luckily it all worked out in the end, although according to the NFL it shouldn't have.

This game will always be known as the Face Mask game of 2015.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Its not a asterick by the win if the refs missed a call. Otherwise every loss we have would have an asterick by it cause we get bad calls every game. Nothing new

Whoops, I started a thread about this not knowing it was already being discussed. I strongly recommend using a topic-specific subject title so nobody needs to click on the thread to know what it is about.

Teams are often in this situation, but I never saw one get flagged for a false start to end the game. I expect Dean Blandino to talk about this in his weekly Official Review segment on NFL Total Access tomorrow.

The way I see it, The Jags have been extremely unlucky with 50/50 calls and such over the season. It evens out with this one I think.

Can't wait to see whats next.

I mean if the NFL wants to start this crap of announcing the calls that weren't made maybe they would want to talk about the long run by Flacco to extend a drive earlier in the game where there were at least 2 holds that weren't called? No? Didn't think so. Ridiculous they would even mention this. There are several missed calls in every game.

Two blatant holds. Any other team would have seen them called. Egregious. Could not believe that play when I saw it.

Could not care less about the missed false start. Finally the ball bounced our way.

We were definitely on the unlucky side at the Jets game, although it is debatable whether Brandon Marshall caught the ball or not. However it was our fault the Jets had a chance to score because it started with Nick Marshall's fumble. So we should not have been in a situation where the officials screwed us up.

And it ended the long streak of road losses. Finally Blake Bortles gets a win outside of Jacksonville.

Maybe go back and look at the jets game.

Many hits on BB5 both late and when he was out of bounds.

PI on AR15 was called in the ravens game, identical coverage in the jets game (by revis wrapping him up facing him) WAS NOT.

not to mention them standing around with an official time out to give the jets time to review the play and throw a challenge.

I could go on....but I think we need to email that NFL dude and give him a piece of our mind.

Email what NFL dude?

I think it was the Dolphins game; Allen Robinson was flagged for OPI when the DB fell down and everybody on this MB said it was a phantom penalty. Screwed us out of a first down and we had to punt.

Michael Signora - maybe we can dig up the email

I was okay with the call be use at that point I didn't have the faith in Meyers to make the PAT. What was ridiculous was the fact that the DB bear-hugged Hurns for 8 yards right in front of the official.

I do believe London is outside of Jacksonville. Way way outside.

Dean Blandino is the officiating supervisor. All Michael Signora does is speak for the NFL.
