From the standpoint of comebacks, which is in essence a major part of the uncertainty I have with the Panthers when the chips are on the table in January and maybe February, the Panthers did a great job coming back from 9 down in Seattle in the 4th QTR to beat the Seahawks. That was an impressive win, despite Seattle having problems this season protecting leads. That was the one time that I'm aware of that the Panthers were able to complete a comeback when they were down by more than one score. Being that the Cardinals are most likely the team the Panthers will have to beat to reach the Super Bowl, I would be at least a little surprised if the Panthers pulled off a similar type of comeback against the Cardinals if they got into that situation. On the other hand, even though I feel the Cardinals have the most balanced Offense in the NFC when they are relatively healthy, I would be at least a little surprised if they were able to comeback against the Panthers in the 4th QTR if they trail by 9 or more points. |
