Not sure to be honest. NOT Mariota, I know that for sure, unless he can be had in the 3rd.

They would have to take Clowney before reaching for a QB IMO.

Depends. If they feel anyone else is a franchise QB, obviously take them. If there's not, you go BAP or trade down. I think Barr might fit our scheme better than Clowney, and he has a much higher upside and work ethic, so he'd be my choice.

I think with the way our defense is starting to shape up, Barr would be the better option because of his versatility and I think he would fit Gus bradley's mindset better. Try hard every play. with all reports about clowney's work ethic up in the air I can see him pushing for Barr over clowney. Tbh I really wouldn't mind a clay mathews/sean lee style player on our team

Teddy > Mariota > Carr > Clowney > Barr

Since we run a 4-3......I'd go with Clowney over Barr although I really do like him.......then let's see which QB falls in our laps....someone will fall and I trust Caldwell to pick the best whoever he is.....Manziel, Mettenberger, Carr....whoever......then we beef up our line

Just once I'd like to get the best of the best, instead of the best of the rest.  The Jaguars have never been the first team to take a QB in a draft.  One of only 9 teams to have never taken the first QB in the draft.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

This is the biggest draft problem there is. You abuse the system when you put need above reality.

what are you talking about? a couple of mediocre performances, and he's no longer any good? don't forget he's also been battling a knee injury since the UCLA game, which seriously limits him in that offense

....I don't think he (Mariota) was ever all that great of a pro-QB prospect. Good college QB, though.

great college QB, over 70 TDs between passing and rushing the past 2 seasons

I'm not completely sold, but I wasn't on Cam Newton either

We're getting Jake Matthews now. I see us picking #4.

Its part of Caldwell's diabolical plan. We're getting Manziel too. Joeckel, Matthews and Manziel.

Mwhahahahaha!

I think our fan base would revolt if we use another top 10 pick on a tackle.

If we miss out on Teddy Bridgewater, obviously we should pick the second-best quarterback. That position is our top priority right now and everyone knows it.

Everybody is sleeping on AJ McCarron. He's about to win three straight college championships and plays in the best conference but nobody wants him. That's crazy to me. Take the best defensive player and then grab the steal which is McCarron.

That's because he has always been surrounded by five star recruits.

Quote:We're not in position to draft Teddy first overall. What do we do? Clowney, Barr, Matthews, Manziel, Mariota? I don't think I can stand another season of this anemic passrush or Ghenne.
You draft the best player available regardless of position. That's what you do each and every round.
