To all you tankers...

Quote:I would call someone who started a thread titled "To all you tankers..." that contained the words in big red text telling me to "suck on this win" is the message board equivalent of pounding their chest. It would also tell me they are happy with the direction of the franchise and want no changes.

lol....I haven't seen anything close to that from anyone.

Quote:you haven't been paying attention then or don't understand football, the defense is playing much better after the bye

the best case scenerio for the rest of the season is for young players to get better and be competitive, sometimes, that will get you a win, deal with it there's absolutely no reason to blame anyone for winning games

It's his schtick. Jaguars lose, he gets to complain. Jaguars win, he gets to complain.

LoLz

...Man, I though losing made this place unbearable.

Winning is twice as bad.

So the defense is playing much better vs 2 bad offenses with terrible QB play (Tennessee/ Houston)?? You don't say?....

I'm far from the only one hyping Teddy. He deserves it though. Anyone can see that he does all the important things well that are asked from a pro QB.....well, almost anyone can see that....

Yahoo just posted this on Week 12 Winners and Losers (we were on the losers side)

Jacksonville Jaguars: I swear this isn't a potshot at the Jaguars, who won 13-6 at Houston on Sunday. It was an impressive win. And one that might cost Jacksonville in May.

Jacksonville, which is now 2-9, needs a franchise quarterback. And when the Jaguars were 0-8, it looked like they would get the best one of the 2014 draft class, presumably Teddy Bridgewater. Now they're in danger of falling a few spots. The Falcons and Vikings each have two wins (the Vikings have a tie, too). The Texans have two wins and would pick ahead of Jacksonville if the two teams finish with the same record.

Minnesota and probably Houston (the Case Keenum bandwagon is falling apart fast) would take a quarterback. Atlanta wouldn't, but could pull off a trade like St. Louis did when the Redskins moved up to take Robert Griffin III. It's conceivable Jacksonville's win on Sunday might end up costing them not only their first choice of quarterbacks, but their first two or three choices.

Nobody's condoning tanking, but ... no, wait. That's exactly what I'm condoning. It's the smart move sometimes. Tanking for a franchise quarterback would ultimately benefit a franchise. The Jaguars might end up regretting Sunday's win for a long time

This is the same defense that gave up 419 yards passing to Carson Palmer a couple of weeks ago...right?

Have there been some signs of improvement after the bye? Yes.

We're finally seeing some promise out of Andre Branch.

The secondary clearly had their best day.

But it is certainly premature at best to say the defense has turned the corner.

Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

The team loses either way. You're damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Quote:Yet Vick, who was built for this system could not? Foles had some good momnts last year, without Kelly.
Hey, c'mon now. TMD actually believes it.

Haven't you noticed? Kelly has revolutionized pro football.

Foles would look good in any standard offense. Kelly hasn't done anything special.
The sun's not yellow, it's chicken.

compared to how they played against the 49ers, Rams, and Cheifs, you don't see improvement?

I'm not saying there aren't concerns still on defense, but they've played much better since the bye, especially against the run

I agree that there was positives and the D played well....but wouldn't it be foolish to not take into consideration the QB they were playing against???

He speaks the truth though. If we beat the Browns this Sunday, I will change my tune because I think we have a legitimate shot at making the playoffs if we walk away from that powerhouse with a W.

The Texans & Arizona's running games have been in a state of flux pretty much all all year. It wasn't a case of the Jags shutting down Adrian Peterson, Eddie Lacy or equivalent.
