Your December Jaguars Top 5 Bigboard?
|
Lets see how much this changes within the next couple of months lol
1. Hargreaves 2. Bosa 3. Ramsey 4. Smith/Jack 5. Lawson/Ogbah We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I had to copy and paste because you almost nailed my big board
1. Bosa 2. Hargreaves 3. Ramsey 4. Nkemdiche 5. Ogbah If we get a top 8 pick, I'd trade up for Bosa. Strengthens our secondary with a good D-Line. Try and get Cravens in the 2nd if we stay in place
I haven't watched enough overall football to make a case one way or the other. I struggle enough to get to watch the Iowa games.
However my list of draft choices would look like this: 1. Best available defensive player 2. Best available defensive player 3. Best available defensive player 4. Best available defensive player 5. Best available defensive player
It would have to be either Vernon Hargreaves III, CB Florida or Jalen Ramsey, CB Florida State considering how badly this team needs a great young CB & both are local boys.
I could see Laremy Tunsil Tackle or Laquon Treadwell WR from Ole Miss as being considered on the offensive side of the ball to help out Bortles but the team really needs to address the DBs this year with the 1st.
1. Bosa
2. Ramsey (assuming the team switches to FS) 3. Smith 4. Jack 5. Hargreaves We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
1. Bosa
2. Ramsay 3. Tunsil 4. Ogbah/Lawson 5. Smith No Hargreaves since I believe House and Colvin would be fine as long as pass rush improves. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
1. Tunsil
2. Nkemdiche 3. Ramsey 4. Bosa 5. Stanley
New signature because HIGH SCORE found the periodic table offensive. Pathetic LOL

Not so certain that I have a Top Five per se, but as for the top players I'd like Jacksonville to get, here they are in no real particular order. Also, note that my list is so much better than yours. I know, I asked a guy on the internet and he told me so.

Bosa, DE - Why that mid season slump? Is he simply preying on weaker Offensive Linemen and he needs an emotional boost in order to perform well? Performance dips worry me but when he does go full bore, he's as tough to stop as anyone it would seem. He fits a need for this team.

Ramsey, DB - The UF-FSU rivalry/hate aside, I take Ramsey over Hargreaves on the sole property of versatility. And size. Okay, that's two properties but I'm not all that smart anyway. I think Hargreaves can cover almost anyone but Ramsey can go almost anywhere on a football field and be effective. Give Dwayne Walker a shiny new toy to put in the sandbox and let's see what he does.

Mack, LB - This is like Ramsey, except in the Front Seven. I love Mack's physicality and instinct for the game. Remember when Jedd Fisch described Bortles when he was drafted? Fisch stated something along the lines of "some guys are Quarterbacks, and some guys are football players that play Quarterback. Blake is a football player first." That's what I think of Jack. He's a player that understands the game, not just his one specific job in it.

Nkemdiche, DT - He's been a bit disappointing strictly in terms of stat production, but he would be dynamite in the DT rotation. I think he'd be a better backup to Miller than Jones and might even be able to play Marks' spot on occasion. There's only so many big men that can play with the quickness he has, so you better get you one.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

1. Hargreaves - We need play makers in the DBs, with Fowler coming back and possible signing 2 pass rushers we can go here

2. Bosa - Cant have too many pass rushers and he is the best
3. Ramsey - Play maker can play CB or FS
4. Nkemdiche - Freak athlete in the middle of the DL
5. Jack/Smith - Both could be OLB and ILB of the future

Quote:I haven't watched enough overall football to make a case one way or the other. I struggle enough to get to watch the Iowa games.Pretty much this. Caldwell needs to start developing a core on the defensive side of the ball, just like he's done on the offensive side of the ball. The entire draft should be focused on defense, and offensive line. Keepers on defense : Smith, MAYBE Marks, Poz, colvin, House. Hopefully Fowler. But atleast 4 new defensive linemen should be brought in to either compete for starting positions or add depth, and we could use two more LBs, and definitely a playmaking safety. It seems like this upcoming draft will be deep on the defensive side of the ball, as is free agency, so we should be able to fix a few positions.
