Man, so sad to read that. I think this happens too much in the NFL. 

 

If you've not seen it, a documentary called "League of Denial" is absolutely excellent. I believe you can find it on netflix. A movie based on the doctor central to the documentary is coming out with Will Smith.

 

Amazing what these men really do to their bodies and how violent of a sport it really is. While we pass judgement on players for being soft or scared, they are literally shortening their lives to play a sport they, and we, love. Yes, it's their their decision, but it doesn't make it any less sad when you read pieces like this one.

There will always be players trying to gain an edge on their opponent. It happens everyday.

 

If a substance gets banned, players will resort to another substance. Its the facts of life. Its a dog eat dog world.
