Our stadium doesn't present a 12th man atmosphere

Quote:Fan base grows weaker with every loss

That's it.   I didn't buy season tickets this year because of my travel schedule, but I finally got a chance to go to a game last week, the San Diego game, and we lost again.   That is so deflating.   It's hard to suck it up and keep going to games when all you ever see is losses.    I remember when Detroit was in the middle of a terrible period of losses, and their stadium was only about 1/3 full.    Same thing in New Orleans.   I actually went to see the Jags play the Saints in 1995 or 1996 and the Superdome had about 20,000 people at most.   You just cannot fill a stadium if the fans hardly ever see a victory.   If the team wins, the fans go home with a good feeling, that it was all worth it, buying tickets, going to the stadium, sitting through the game, but when the team loses, the fans go home thinking they wasted their time and money.

Quote:Question for you season tix holders:

When I'm able to attend, I often buy single game tix in one of the mid-level sections adjacent to the club seats to get a decent view of the field. (Around the 20 yd line I guess)

I've found that I'm one of only a dozen or so folks in the area that get up and make noise on third down in these areas. I'd like to find a section with a good view of the field where more folks are making noise on third downs. Any suggestions?

I'll be at the ATL game.

The camera shots in Tennessee today didn't emphasize how empty that place was today. Was nice to see Jag fans all over the place. Definitely an agenda to show our stadium population every game.

That was crazy.  Do you think they had 40K in there today?  I do but not much more than that.  A little strange how they keep reporting sellouts.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

With PSL they still have the tickets sold. I think there was 4 total shots showing empty seats. The shots were tight field shots. When they show Everbank they go wide every in and out break.

I think this is one of the bigger misconceptions about PSLs.  Owning a PSL doesn't mean you just get season tickets, you still have to purchase them.  They had a number of wide shots of the today's game and there were more empty seats that I can remember for any Jaguar game I've ever been to (with two notable suggestions that long timers will probably remember, but that's another story).

Just rekindling this one up to the top.  Ton of wide shots and blimp shots today.  I don't recall the announcers saying anything about it at least.  I can tell you the fans there were definitely loud and proud.  You could hear the game and crowd noise big time.  Wins like this and moving the team forward will make for an even better atmosphere.  Go Jaguars!!!!

Quote:I sat in section 220 today and I was yelling as loud as I could. The guys next to me were banging on seats and we were all standing up and whistling and screaming and doing everything we could to help our defense.

But with the distance from the field to the actual seats seems like it isn't as close as to a team like the Patriots stadium.

I wish Khan would put a lid over the stadium to create more sound.

Not to mention my face is always sun burnt.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Do you think Everbank has a homefield advantage with crowd noise like Arrowhead and other loud places?

The 220's are a rowdy group thats why im glad to have tickets in that area.

Its interesting I had a convo with a few Clots fans during that game who were upset next season game is in London, just goes to show how much they like our stadium and atmosphere.

Everbank has a homefield advantage. The crowd was electric and it just goes to show if a good product is on the field people will come and be supportive. No more fancy modifications need to be made.

Yes I do realize that.  I was just quoting you to highlight the differences in the intro and outro to the commercials Jax v Tennessee.  And completely understand your point.  I wasn't singling you out.

I was concerned that the past two games would mean a sparce crowd today, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised by the turnout. This team had won 11 games in the last 44, but the support this team gets doesn't suggest that. I firmly believe once we establish ourselves as a perennial power in the league, the attendance number will be right up there with the best in the league. People love to support winners, which is why college football appeals to so many people-- at FSU, UF, and Miami, being above .500 is pretty much a given.

You actually posted something other than a post in an informative gameday thread.
