Quote:Am I angry? lol uh yeah!!!.....this team has been mostly bad for the better part of 14 straight seasons. Honestly I don't know how more of you aren't as tired of it as I am. I want to see something that can change things for the better - and long term. And that something is a franchise QB, and the best chance for us to find that is Teddy. And the best chance for us to get Teddy is by getting the #1 pick.

The good news is, the pick is still very much under our control. As long as Houston beats us, we should still be in excellent shape.

You missed my point, or decided to gloss over it and answer something completely different.

Let me spell it out for you with my telestrator:

We played Arizona last week.  The c'lots played Arizona this week (yesterday)

How did we do against Arizona?

How did the c'lots do?

Game.  Set.  Match.   The_Anchorman

Stay classy....    :thanks:  :teehee:

Yeah, so what? The Colts are in free fall. They can't stop anyone on defense, and their offense without Wayne has pretty much nothing other than the QB. How did we do vs Arizona? Well we did give up over 400 yards passing to a stiff. But I guess that impresses you.

Quote:Aha. This board kills me sometimes. "Let's cut the only premium offensive talent we have because he smoked a plant" and "Might as well win as many as we can, wouldn't do to actually have a shot at an elite QB for once". I swear sometimes, the people on this board would way rather the Jaguars be a group of scrubs than not.
Answer this - Would you rather have losers or winners? No baloney about tanking etc..  - Losers or winners?

You know, I'm sitting here watching the 49er/Redskin game...  Lets not forget how RGIII was the ROY last year.  Hows that amazing prospect turning out for the 'skins?

There's yet another example of a "franchise" QB.  Not many people bring up that guy though...

I think we only have 1 less win then they do as of now...  Yet another hole in this nonsensical argument.

I'm far from convinced that Houston beats us.....and then that last Colts game is concerning too as they will be resting their starters. Heck the way they've been playing lately, they could play their starters and beat them.

So you would pick us as favorites against the clots at end of season?

Its not that black & white. Because by being "losers" these next 5 games, they could wind up getting Teddy and then be set up to be "winners" for the next decade.

All that does is support the argument that you needs to have a QB of Bridgewater's ilk to consistently compete for titles. Flash in the pan media darlings aren't going to cut it.

1 WR makes that much difference?  LOL, well then why are you freakin' out about Bridgewater?!?!  LOL!!!!  You just said that getting a prospect like Teddy B. would make us a contender, now you're defending the c'lots lack of QB success because they are missing 1 WR?    Like I said...

OK, I can go for that.  I also prefer a pocket QB like the elites...  Breese or Brady...  I'm not a big fan of the running QBs...

WINNERS! Long, sustainable winners. The best way to have a group of long sustainable winners is to nab an elite QB. I see a very quick route to that end, it will just require that we take it on the chin a few more games.

RG3 is just a reminder of why you don't want a guy like Mariota or other one-read QB from gimmicky college offenses. Its further evidence of why we need Bridgewater, who comes from a pro-style offense and will not need any "fixing".

Its possible, especially if they rest their starters.

I am sorry you are so mad - you should come down for a game- you will feel better Smile  Game day is a lot of fun!  I have confidence in my team and coach!  Things are looking up for us - why are you a fan of us if you hate us so much?

Any QB needs weapons. No QB can do it alone. Not even Manning.

We have decent offensive weapons. Its the one area were okay in. We're certainly better than Indy in that regard, anyway. With Blackmon its not even close.

Never said I "hate" them. Being angry at them and hating them is 2 different things. Not sure why so many of you try to morph it into one. Hating them would mean not wanting them to ever be successful. I want them to be great - but know for that to happen, they need the franchise QB first.

That would require uprooting himself from his computer chair and leaving the security of his hovel..

Yeah, I'm all for a pocket QB.  But unlike you, I'm not so desperate that I think we must have the #1 prospect at QB to be a contender.  We have alot of holes on this team.  If we wind up with not the best "prospect" but we get the right fit for our scheme/coaches at the QB and hit home-runs with our other draft picks, we can wind up being just fine.

That's all most of us are saying.  There are millions of different scenarios that will result in us becoming legit contenders again.  At least 91% of those scenarios can occur with having to lose the remainder of the games this season.

LOL, muddying the waters of my argument won't work!

Sorry TMD, but I've already crowned myself the winner of the MB for this evening.

But with that said, it was enjoyable debating with you tonight.

Take it easy.
