Predict our 2016 first round pick number
|
After our loss in Nashville pushed us up to #6 overall, I thought this would be a fun game to play. Remember our pick number depends on what other teams do and each team's strength of schedule, so I am in no way hoping we lose any more games - just thinking about how high we can get. This is the current Top 10 order (before the Cowboys/Redskins game) according to NFL.com:
1. Browns (2-10) 2. Titans (3-9) 3. Chargers (3-9) 4. Cowboys (3-8)* 5. Ravens (4-8) 6. Jaguars (4-8) 7. Saints (4-8) 8. Rams (4-8) 9. 49ers (4-8) 10, Lions (4-8) With four games left to play (five for the Cowboys), how much juggling can occur to move us up or down in the draft order? Do you think we will stay at #6 or move in either direction? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:Need to lose out to get that number 2 spot It is more we need Tennessee to win games and play themselves out of the #2 spot.
we need to be #1, but I don't have confidence in Caldwell so I guess it doesn't really matter

4 or 5
Bradley's team will give up the last 4 games.

Quote:because he drafted Luke, Lee, Gratz, Ace, Denard, Chris Smith, etc etc I'll take the GM with more hits than misses.
Quote:Because he drafted Luke, Lee, Gratz, Ace, Denard, Chris Smith, etc. Four of those players were late round picks. After Round 3, all picks are for depth, development, or competition for the starting job. So your complaint stops at Lee. We show less advertisements to registered users. Jags will win 2 more games and drop behind Rams and 49ers to select 8th. I have a hunch they beat a Luck-less Colts and the Falcons. It is also possible they beat the Saints since they gave it all yesterday and may be done for the year. This would probably drop them to about 12th. My question, is it worth beating the Saints on the road and miss out on one of the top pass rushers (like Ogbah) in the draft ? I know, as true fans we should never pull against the Jaguars, but how great would it make us feel to beat a team that has quit on it's season? Although I couldn't ever pull for the other team, it would probably be in the Jaguars best long term interests to lose that game.

Although I couldn't ever pull for the other team, it would probably be in the Jaguars best long term interests to lose that game. The Saints showed everyone yesterday firing their DC does not help the defense LOL. However because of Drew Brees. I see a loss coming in New Orleans. We probably will lose to the Falcons too because of their player who wears #11. The Texans might be beatable, but I won't count on it. Next week is the only one I can chalk up as a win right now. Good news: We might play against Clipboard Jesus again. It would be insane to think New Orleans gave up on the season. If they did, yesterday's game would have been a blowout, not a shootout. We are not talking about the Browns, who obviously did give up. Believe me, I totally understand this thing about wanting higher draft picks. However I also know every year players drop much farther than expected (Teddy Bridgewater) and Dave Caldwell is not afraid of trading up (Allen Robinson). Then there are players who greatly exceed expectations, making people wonder why they were not drafted higher (Robinson again). So it is not terrible to miss out on a top 10 pick by beating a team like the Saints. So I don't worry about it as much as other fans do, even though like them I get excited over the opportunity to pick an elite player.
