Quote:It was sweet watching the clots fans at the game in the second half.....started getting real quiet and then slowly picking up their stuff and start disappearing. The last clot game I was at was a Thursday night affair. Mathis got a pick 6 in the first quarter and it was a good game. We lost it at the end... There were 2 clot fans 2 rows behind me and my pregnant wife at the game. They were insufferable... I'm hoping somewhere, they are crying in their drinks right now... Under the same moon in which I'm gloating. LOL, it's like An American Tail all over again. Why is it called a "burger?"

Quote:Why is it called a "burger?" Idk, maybe because it more fulfilling and weighty than a ham sandwich. More substance than a peanut butter and jelly sandwich...which would only be a 20 point victory.

IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:That was a special game... the only real 'fly in the ointment' came, once again, from our kicker. I can't believe we can't find someone more reliable for XP's than Myers! No no, they are keeping Myers for sheer entertainment value. Since we will beat teams by 2-3 TDs the XP is pure comedy gold. Myers should have his own theme song when he trots out there for another miss. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I liked how the stadium went wild every time Myers made an extra point. I liked seeing how pissed off he was when he missed the first one. Slamming his helmet. At least he actually showed some emotion besides just sitting down like nothing happened.

This is an example of when it's truly better to 'give than receive'. We would know...

Maybe the tune could vary depending on what he's doing; if attempting to kick XP's, then maybe something like the theme music to the 'three stooges'. If nothing else, it would really add to the comedy of the situation. If kicking FG's, them maybe something like the theme music for the 'empire' from 'starwars'? OK. I didn't get to see the game because I live in Maryland. But I do have NFL on Windows to keep up with the game. I saw the highlights of the game and that last QB Sneak when Bortles scored they flashed a 50 Burger on the screen. And unless I'm wrong (depending on tonight) We scored the most points this week for any of the games. Feels good to be on the winning end of a blow out for a change.

Okay, just to offer a contrary opinion about Myers... I know it is extremely aggravating to see the guy miss extra points, and he also missed a couple of game winning kicks against the Colts. But that said, it's kind of interesting the way the guy can hit 50 yard FGs, and put all NINE of his kickoffs yesterday so deep in the end zone they were un-returnable, and yet miss extra points. I have to think this is not a talent issue, but some kind of weird mental issue. I am thinking that maybe if Myers stopped thinking of it being an extra point and started thinking of it being a 50 yard FG, in other words, put the hard swing on it and not the little chip shot he tries for the XPs, then maybe he would hit them more consistently.
Obviously, Gus and Dave think he's got a lot of talent, and they are into developing young talent. God knows, we have had other young players screw up out there, but if they have talent, we hang in and try to get them straightened out.
I'm convinced of Myer's talent after seeing him nail that Kickoff through the uprights after the missed PAT, he was pissed and I liked to see that kind of emotion coming from him, because we all as fans are pissed off too. After seeing Scobee essentially get iced and pysched out by Pittsburg i'm all for giving Myers another year or *gasp* even two. He's young like this team, he's got a hell of a freaking leg and plenty of kickers have had really bad starts of their career for several years before immerging as very competant kickers. It really is a mental issue, I'd have to believe, he's probably making them in practice otherwise he wouldn't be a starting kicker ATM. And he's still pretty good at Field Goals too, so it HAS to be mental. If we put some slight pressure on him, try out some kickers in the off-season but still give him a chance I think he'll turn it around.
