Smith hit on Hasselbeck

the same people who were whining that Mccoy was wrong for challenging the play that Hurns was hurt on are the same ones fine with Telvin shoving a 40 y/o QB who was clearly a half-step away from stepping out of bounds.

Telvin was being consistent, he was completing the beat down.

Go back and watch. See that line on the field. That's a first down marker. He shoved him to prevent anything else.

That helmet throw but hasselbeck was hilarious. A 40

Year old throwing a tantrum on... Wait for it.... Wait for it... The Jaguars sideline. Lol. I bet most of the jags were laughing at him.

That wasn't even a hit... it was a light shove.

But I think Hasselbeck reacted to pain, not to a little shove. Atleast that's what I thought.

Quote:Clemons and Miller hit him together, but it looked to me like Clemons was the one that really got him good.

I was watching the highlights of this hit on the NFL site and when Matt's helmet came off and revealed his bald head the guy said  something like, look at that, it knocked the hair right off his head. lol.

It's probably still there since I just watched it a few minutes ago.

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

You have any proof of that or are you just slinging poo again?

To the people who say it's a late hit,  lets say Telvin lets up and Hassleback cuts it back in for more yardage.  Is that acceptable?  Play to the whistle.

go look at the thread when Mccoy challenged that Hurns play and how many posters were crying about it. That's all the proof you need

Plus, the LINESMAN was right there, looking. It was a slight tap to usher him out, granted he MAY have been heading there. The defender ensured his ground, as expected. Legally, confirmed by Z...

And for the record, I'm fine with the Telvin play AND Mccoy challenging that Hurns play.

You guys are just too emotional

Quote:Question: Do we know for sure that Hasselbeck threw a fit because of the hut or maybe out of frustration because he knew instantly that he had injured himself?

I've always thought Hasselbeck was a pretty stand up guy. I'd honestly be kind if surprised if he threw a hissy just for being pushed out of bounds in and of itself...

I kind of thought he was pitching the fit because he was in some serious pain and not becaus of getting hit/pushed. At his age, he is very aware of the limited shelf life he's got left as an NFL QB...so that was probably a huge part of it too.
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

The point I was trying to make is that a runner doesn't have to be out of bounds to get a call, however, they're only going to flag a violent hit there... not a mere push. I'll admit that was merely a push.

He hadn't given himself up at all.

That's called a slide......

We shouldn't justify potential bad call by illustrating other bad calls.

There is nothing illegal in any manner what 50 did.

There was a game I watched earlier this year where a runner was assumed going out and the defender left him and he turned up field for a few extra yards and a first down. I'd rather my defenders made sure...

We were all coached to play until the whistle blows.

That's what Smith did.

Perfectly legal. If he gets fined then Goodell is wrong.
