Khalil Mack

Dude is a monster.

5 sacks in a game, possible DPOTY.

I was completely wrong about him coming out. It was more of an effort thing for me. But I was wrong about that too.

Good job guy.

And if it helps us with the promise of fowler, they're often described as similar players.

We can only hope fowler comes close to macks level. I love watching him.

Fowler is similar to Khalil Mack in his versatility but Mack is a more explosive athlete.

4 sacks in year 1 to 14+ in year 2. Hopefully Fowler can beat that in his first two years on field.

Can't wait to see whats next.

I do too, but this just shows why you have to be patient with rookie pass rushers. People would freak out if Fowler only gets 4 sacks next season, which is totally inappropriate.

Even this much is debatable. Fowler ran a 4.60 40 compared to Mack at 4.65... they had the same 10-yard split of 1.56, which is just insane for a DE. To put this in perspective, Vic Beasley had a 1.72 10-yard split.

Mack is indeed a freak of nature and Im still a bit bummed we didnt draft him but Im perfectly okay with who we got instead Wink

I do hope DFJ works out for us as well as Mack has for the Raiders too.

The explosion drills are the vert and broad. Mack had a 40 inch vert and 10'8'' broad. Fowler has a 32 inch vert and 9'4'' broad.

Fowler will have to work hard to get that speed back after reconstructive surgery. Good news is he'll have a full 12 months of recovery time.

Fowler is only 21. Guys don't usually lose speed from an ACL injury that young.

Yeah there's no two ways about it. He's one of the league's most dominant players in his second year. When he was coming out people thought he just looked good cause he played at Buffalo but the reality is he would have been the best player on any team in the nation.

I guess ol' Ketchman was right; you find football players where you find football players.

I remember selling myself on the idea that Caldwell was either going to take Mack or Watkins in that draft and take a flyer on a late round QB. While I do really, really like the QB situation in Jacksonville, That Mack - Carr combination is going to be quite the duo for a while I think.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

BUT, it's very plausible that bortles-fowler will be better. I definitely like bortles more than carr at least.

I agree with you about Bortles over Carr; I just think he can impact a game a lot more than Carr can. Now, can Fowler do what Mack is doing? I dunno. Five sacks in a game and 14 over 13 games is heady stuff. Let's just hope Fowler focuses on how to best impact a game.

Right. I mean maybe fowler never gives us 5 in a game and maybe Mack never does it again either but as long as fowler becomes disruptive, I'll be happy.

Amari Cooper is no slouch, either.

That's quite the trio....and the stuff of future contention.

Of course, Caldwell has added some talent to our roster, too.

I think the Jaguars will be battling the Raiders for AFC supremacy for years to come.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

I remember Jungle Cat constantly spewing how bad Khalil Mack and Bortles would be. I wish he would come back, I enjoy a good trainwreck.

Bortles-Fowler-A.Rob vs Carr-Mack-Cooper! Shame on the NFL if this game isn't on Sunday or Monday night next year.
