Draft 2016

#21

Hargreaves, Ramsey, and Jack.

These are my top three picks for this team. Depending on who is available and where we pick, I will be VERY satisfied with 1 of these 3 players.

Su'a Cravens started as a strong Safety

I would rather pick someone who stayed at that position his entire career. No thanks.

And Jordy Nelson...

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Apples and oranges. Just because players on good teams have no problem changing positions does not mean guys on bad teams will succeed at new positions. Look at Zach Miller, for example. He sucked as a Jaguar, but is playing well for the Bears. That tells me a player's ability to succeed at a different position can depend on what team he plays for. You can't make any assumptions based on what other players are able to do in the NFL. Let's see how good Nick Marshall is as a cornerback.

J.J. Watt didn't play DL his whole career.  He started out as a TE.

He went to a bad team and has done great.

Rashean Mathis switched back and forth between CB and S in college.

He had an outstanding career here and is still in the league after some 12-13 seasons.

There are too many instances of players switching positions in college and doing well in the NFL.

Players, whether they switch positions in college or not, have to go to the right team and play in the right scheme under the right coaches to succeed.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

That explains why he is sometimes used as a tight end. The whole time I watched him play at Wisconsin, however, he was only a defensive lineman.

Now it is certainly possible Craven will have a good career at linebacker. I just don't think it is right to assume anybody can do it as well as some NFL players did.

Brian Urlacher to Cravens is apples to apples. Safety who converted to a linebacker. And if you can't make assumptions, don't assume that Cravens isnt a natural linebacker at this point. You are so frustrating

I think if he's playing linebacker in college, made first team All Pac-12, and is projected (based on college line backing) to be a first rounder... The assumption is perfectly fine

You're falling into her trap
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

I was not assuming anything about Cravens. End of argument.

If we miss the playoffs as expected, our pick number will be somewhere in the top 15. Is that too high for Cravens?

I think Ramsey and hargreaves will be gone by the time we pick... really liking jaylon smith, does well in pass rush and pass coverage

That is my fear too about Hargreaves. Currently we are #9 in the first round. That will change in three weeks.

You are truly the most repugnant, annoying person on this board. Eliminating a prospect because he didn't start out at a position. Omg, bruh. Joe Haden, Randall Cobb, Hines Ward, Denard Robinson, Jordy Nelson, and many more. Stupid.

Learn how to read. I never once said we should pass on a player just because he played multiple positions in college or that players are only good if they stay at the same position forever.

Your direct quote:

"I would rather pick someone who stayed at that position his entire career. No thanks."

Edit if you want, I've already screenshot it. You're a bag of dunce caps. Unbelievable. "Learn how to read" absolutely pathetic
