Who would have thought at the beggining of he year that the texans vs colts game that could help decide the division in late December would be a battle between TJ Yates and Charlie Whitehurst.

And if Whitehurst were to go down, who would be next for the colts?

Quote:Yes, pretty much.

Indy already has three divisional wins.

Houston only has two.

Jacksonville can win, at most, 3 divisional games.

If it came down to a tie with Indy at 8-8, then division record would be one of the early tiebreakers.

If Indy (or Houston) wins a 4th divisional game and somehow finishes tied in overall record with Jacksonville, they would win the division over us.

We need for Indy to lose to Houston and Tennessee, and Houston to lose to Tennessee and us.

I think Houston has this. Their pass rush is picking up now that Clowney is starting to play well

I think the Titans are more likely to best the Colts than the Texans due to the poorer D.

I feel more comfortable with Indy winning and then dropping the last two. I don't think the Texans will lose to the tacks after beating Indy... I just don't see it.

If they tie and we win sunday it is a three way race to 8 wins. The Colts would have the inside track.

Me too. Something about Houston winning in Indy on Sunday spells division title. They will not lose to titans and Jags following that. I rather Colts get their big boost with Luck back (if back), then come back to Earth vs. Phins and tacks.

I think Indy will lose to Houston/Miami so they are out at 6-9. Then we simply need Tennessee to beat Houston leaving them at 7-8, and we win out, beating Houston to finish 8-8. That spells division title and playoffs. It is not that far fetched to see Tennessee beating Indy or Houston, with their D line and if Mariota shows up, they can beat either team.

If Indy wins, they still lose to Miami and then we need Tennessee to upset these guys. Houston would then lose to us if we win out making them 7-9, assuming they  beat Tennessee.

Would be much easier if the Titans just beat both teams and we win out. Isn't this a hot mees? We will be rooting for the tacks 2 out of the next 3 weeks, essentially lol.

The tacks aren't beating Indy on the road though. Mariota is at his best at home.

I think when they played us the announcers said Griff Walen was the next in line

JJ Watt, if there was ever a time to take a QB down hard, this is it.

False by a mile! Excels on the road, and not even close.

First MUST win game of the year for jags and rooting for the tinhorns. I look at it like this, I just do not want the dolts to win the division.

?? No one had us favored against the falcons when they started 5-0.

I still don't think we win out.

First we need to win out.

If the tinhorns win, we need them to lose to the tacks next week and the clots to lose to the tacks OR the Dolphins.

If the clots win, we need them to lose to the tacks AND the Dolphins and the tinhorns to lose to the tacks.

If they tie, we just need the clots to lose to the tacks or the Dolphins.

Tie > tinhorn win > clots win. IMO.
