It's not a democratic opinion, it's common sense. It's not his party or politics that's the problem, he's dishonest and hides his bigotry behind the facade of non-political correctness. That appeals to many who are frustrated, but If you can't see through his shtick I do indeed question how much you're thinking about it.

As for my cannabis use, that's an easy shot to take, but I'll match wits with you any time.

Trying to watch people explain away the hateful rhetoric as being anything other than what it is or that the people supporting him are supporting him for other reasons despite the hate are as amusing as watching people try to explain how Carson has any business being in the race.

People are desperate. Trump says what they want to hear ( my problem is, can he deliver? ).

Ok, here and now let's start.  What policies has Trump directly advocated for as part of his platform that you think he can't deliver on.

We can debate all year, but if the GOP candidates do what they're doing and continue in their circular firing squad,

It's a primary.  Everyone on the stage is vying for the same position, making a case for themselves above their competitors.

Your view is as warped as the opinion you hold. That's the problem with you PC'ers.. You'd much rather stay the course because of fear that it may offend some people to put a temporary ban on Muslims. Well if it comes down to the safety of this country or temp banning Muslims, ban the hell out of them until there's a better process in place. (What that process may be, I don't know, not my job), but there damn sure needs to be a process in place before we go any further.

And as far as matching wits? Maybe you can, maybe you can't. That's not the point. The point is, you call some of us "Low IQ" because we're tired of the same ole rooster and bull story from this crap president and we're finally starting to demand real change and want Trump.. Thats brilliant.

Well said, and I agree. Not that I am a Trump supporter, but the take you have on being PC is spot on. PC is ruining the country.

IMO....he won't deport every illegal, he won't stop Muslims from entering country, he won't get Mexico to pay for the wall, he won't come in and wipe out Isis, but I digress....when politifact researched and found the vast majority of his claims are false or unsubstantiated, I have a hard time being led around by his rhetoric.

Like all politicians, his mouth is writing a check his [BLEEP] can't cash, and my concern is him turning this country into what he did for the Jersey shore. Only time would tell, but I'm still betting he doesn't sniff the presidency.

He actually is the most liberal of the candidates, and if he does get nominated, watch him swing to the middle. He's learning quick on how to be a politician.

But,hey, Putin likes him, so I assume that's a vote of confidence for some. It might have some seeing red.

Quote:IMO....he won't deport every illegal,

"have to go, we have no choice.  they have to go, and then they have to come back, legally"  Translation, Executive order for the deportation of criminal aliens (he's mentioned that he would start with the gangs, etc.  As for those who OBVIOUSLY would be allowed back in it will be determined that instead of having them go and come back in they will be given the ability to have a work permit if they can prove who they are.

Mind you, i concede that is pure speculation but when you put together his statements about loving LEGAL immigration and the big door he is leaving himself enough room to make the concession for legalization in the absence of citizenship.

Inside baseball, the biggest hurdle to legalization has been the failures in border security.  People forget that we signed comprehensive immigration reform back in 1986.  We granted amnesty to 3 million people with the promise that the border would be secure and it wouldn't have to happen again.  This failure poisoned the well on the right to ever consider it again (never mind that support for republican candidates among Hispanics actually went DOWN 15 points after this bill was signed).  If we actually secure the border and enforce immigration against Criminal aliens (something like Kate's law) then legal status for the grandmother and the grandfather types will be seen as a compromise position on the part of Trump and the bone that centrist Democrats might need to justify their vote.

he won't stop Muslims from entering country,

In reality he never actually made the promise that he would.  In the case of the refugee resettlement of course that would be halted and that only makes sense.  His original statement was that we should stop the influx until we know what the hell is going on.  His move will not be to stop Immigration permanently, but to impose a system that allows us to know what the hell is going on.  The lapses that lead to San Bernandino are indefensible and should be fixed no matter who is president.

he won't get Mexico to pay for the wall,

That's actually the easiest to deliver on.  We have roughly about a 50 billion dollar annual trade deficit with Mexico.  That means 200 billion over his first term.  We need 2 billion dollars to build the wall.  that means that if we imposed a 1% tariff, then that pays for it.  If we rebalance our trade with them by 5% then that means 10 billion dollars more in the US economy and that means that we would take in approximately 2 billion dollars in initial revenue.

he won't come in and wipe out Isis, but I digress....when politifact researched and found the vast majority of his claims are false or unsubstantiated, I have a hard time being led around by his rhetoric.

A guy is selling a used car.  He wants to get 1500 for it.  He lists the price as 1699 OBO.  Is he lying, or is he being a shrewd sales person?  I mean trump did write a book about positional bargaining...

And this is the problem with...well, you, considering you're the main one getting his feelings hurt because you think I think you're dumb. You see my opposition to Trump as political correctness, a knee jerk response if ever there was one. You're lumping everyone who thinks Trump is bad for this country into one group of "PCers". I guess it's easier when you can attach a label instead of sorting through the objections.

I don't don't worry about offending Muslims, I worry about this country losing its way. Looking at the 9 attacks by Islamist extremists since 9/11 it's apparent our biggest threat to is homegrown radicalized Islamist extremists. If we close our borders to Muslims, how long before an attack by a Muslim citizen born in the U.S. moves the cross-hairs onto Muslims already here. But boy, the idea of doing something bold sure does sound good. It seems gun control is the only slippery slope conservatives worry about.

You want change. I want change, but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon of a cretin like Trump, who throws out random, poorly considered "ideas" he knows are empty but will stir up his rabble. Some people have [BAD WORD REMOVED] you money and continue to be good citizens, others consider it license to be jerks. One important judge of character is how one behaves when one has nothing to lose. Trump fails the test.

After 911 and subsequent attacks the left is still worried about some massive backlash against the muslim population? The seige was a good movie but it was just that a movie.
