Also I do think the statement is incorrect as a whole anyways, as evident by Oliver and Andrew Luck people don't remember mediocre - below players so you rarely realise a player is a former NFL players son.


However Kelvin Taylor is always remembered as Fred's son as he was a star, so yes it is fair to say sons of stars very rarely live up to their fathers career, however that is due to them being stars and such and only a handful of players will ever play to FT's level of play in he next couple of decades.

Fred Taylor was special. Many NFL teams would have loved to have him. Maybe it is not fair to Kelvin that game commentators keep calling him "Fred Taylor's son." I have noticed they say that a lot but don't go overboard with calling Bryan Cox Jr. the son of a former NFL linebacker.

I am real surprised at KT leaving. Maybe just done with classes for now and give this a go. I don't see it being a very good decision though. He sees Matt Jones playing well and thinks he can too?

I am not so sure about that with KT. He was a different player in Mac's offense, and that is without QB play for half the season. One more season and he'd be making a lot more money I think.

Neither one is talented enough yet to make an NFL roster. They would be a late round pick. They should stay in school and work to improve their skills attempting to get a higher draft round for more $$$.

Kelvin is a good kid, and it was nice to see him in orange and blue, but it's quite obvious that he is not as good as his dad was, no matter how hard he tries. Fred just had nature talent.

I am never a fan of great player sons either. Kellen Winslow, Brian Griese, Casey Matthews, Bob Carpenter . . . So many guys don't even come close to what their dads did their relationship is actually a red flag to me.

I think it is a mistake for both honestly. DeMarcus has been a headcase and Kelvin really hasn't impressed. Both will probably late round-UDFA guys.

No way Robinson would stay the coach hates him, he has the talent just has to get his act together, but his issues havent been anything terrible like some players in the past

 

Would have liked Taylor to come back, but he would def get drafted in the mid rounds, remember Matt Jones? He went in the 4th and seemed like a 7th to UDFA while at UF

I would love Taylor late or UDFA. I think he'd choose Jax if he goes undrafted.
