Why, for speaking the truth. I love this team but it is what it is.

I'm not a big fan of Bradley but I do thinking keeping the same surroundings for Bortles will be important for his continued development.

Good let him play out his contract

Dave Caldwell needs to hit on defensive players like he did offensive players and we will be fine next year

Gus does need to bring in a new DC, look what happened with the offense after the offinsive staff overhaul last year

Quote:Smart move by the owner if you ask me, especially since there is a significant difference between his first season and now.
What is that? 1 win?

Quote:I do hope we beat the Texans and get to 6 wins. A 6-10 record without even a semblance of a pass rush is def a passing grade to me. And of course I'm over the moon with the ascent of the offense. Lots of things to be excited about here in jax.

You don't think that overall this team under-achieved this season?  From a win-loss standpoint?

With the schedule playing out like it did this team should have won more than 5 games.

From the disaster that was the team a few years ago getting blown out in big losses to be in almost every game this season is remarkable improvement.

Quote:I predicted a 7-9 record before the season start but the following teams were much worse than I thought they would be:

Titans - slightly worse

Saints

Colts

Chargers

Ravens

Over last 5 weeks the Jags are 1-4 with loses to the Titans, Chargers, Falcons, and Saints.  This team has so underachieved.  Time for Bradley to go.  Heck I would even be for promoting Doug Marone to HC
Your only looking at wins/losses, this team at least offensively is way better then anybody thought we would be in year 3

The two best players on defense didnt even play this year really, and thats what makes the defense so bad lack of pass rush and thats what they do

Give Gus his full roaster and if he screws it up and he should be out next year, there have been plenty of coaches people thought should have been fired turned it around the next year

Lots of pressure on Gus this year. Shad basically said he expects a LARGE IMPROVEMENT. This is totally it. There are no excuses or reasons or whatever. He has to win. No more playing around.

Gus Bradley is a piece of trash.  Simple as that.  Okay, so the offense improved?  That to me doesn't speak much about Gus's ability so much as it does to Greg Olson.  If Bradley was hired as an Offensive minded coach, I could see it.  This guy was brought in as a defensive specialist and our Defense is what kills us week after week.  Bortles and the Allen Bros have broken all sorts of franchise records dating back to over a decade, and we still are only 5-10?  What does that say about our defense?

All this does, is it tells everyone associated with this team that it is perfectly fine to under perform and you will not only go unpunished, but the team front office will publicly put their support behind you 100%.  Of course, Bradley has taught the players exactly this principle ever since he got here, so it's not like they don't already firmly believe it.

As good as Bortles and this Offense has developed, I have to believe it's just a shadow of what it would have been under a competent leader.
