Gus Bradley Back in 2016

Cool. I'm probably too invested in my fandom. That's why I hate the job that PCGB has done.

Quote:In 2013 the Jaguars scored 15.4 points per game.  2014 was 15.6, 2015 has us at 24.7.

How much of that is Blake, ARob and Hurns simply getting better and how much is it the new OC/Gus?

Who knows.

I still have no faith in Gus as HC and he hasn't given me nearly enough reason to have that faith.  Good for you that do have faith in him and I sure hope you are right.

Otherwise we are completely wasting a year of Bortles/ARob/Hurns/Telvin/Colvin/House/Linder etc.

Well, look at it this way.  The upward trend takes a big jump between 2014 and 2015.  You cite 3 2014 rookies...  someone coached those rookies up to play in the NFL game...  If you look around the league at fan reaction, fantasy football geeks, etc. the Jaguars have been talked about as being a "surprise".  Many players of other teams talk about how the team is going to be really good.  Free agents don't consider coming to Jacksonville as a "vacation" anymore.

That is a trend heading up.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

All of my NFL/Non-Jags friends are amazed at how good they "perceive" the Jags to be. I mention that many fans want the coach fired and I get a quizical "huh" look. They obviously don't follow the team like we all do, but it is interesting that when you bring up the Jags, we aren't patted on the head anymore.

Im curious as to know if you even have any idea what type of head coach Gus is and what he actually does? But your a genius so im sure you will enlighten us

Quote:YOU wouldn't understand. Supporting this team from across the nation is a LOT harder than being surrounded by fellow fans. NO ONE understands why i'm a fan of this team, and I never have anyone on my side when talking about them. You "suffer and celebrate together", and I have to do it alone. I show up the only way I can, and I don't have others around me as a crutch like you do.

I don't care who is a fan, or how they go about it. You're the one who is obsessed with how much $$$ is being spent by each person.

Bingo! Fans like us should be lauded not ostracized. If you had to rely on fans that only went to the games how many fans would there be? 40 - 50 grand? I represent in spite of the crap product. Yet you critize from a sea of teal. It's quite lazy on your part. But whatever like I said I've been there done that.

It's a lot easier to look at what he doesn't do. Win, period point blank! How's that for genius?

I don't question the LOYALTY of fans who are upset because Bradley was retained.

Perhaps their patience deserves scrutiny (or maybe not), but I don't think that is a basis for attacking loyalty.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Apathy set in too long ago for me to care whether Bradley stays or goes, but the below argument is the best I can do to support the team improving under Bradley.

Point Differential

(Del Rio/Tucker year)

2011      -86

(Bradley years)

2013       -202

2014      -163

2015      -48 with one game left. (probably +or- 10)

Our point differential has improved every year under Bradley. However, this year the schedule has probably one of the all time easiest.

I included the year Del Rio was fired for reference. As you can see, until this year, Bradley has been considerably worse than Del Rio's worst year.

If Gus is being kept around, I hope Caldwell makes the effort to corral some more talent on the defensive side of the ball and gets a new DC.

Lions Beat Writer Justin Rogers,  who I believe does a very good job covering the team for MLive.Com,  wrote the following in his most recent NFL Power Rankings:

http://www.mlive.com/lions/index.ssf/201..._17_3.html

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (5-10)

Blake Bortles is second to only Tom Brady with 35 touchdown passes. Jacksonville could be a sleeper team in 2016 with the return of first-round pick Dante Fowler Jr. from injury and additional bolstering of the defense in the upcoming draft. (Last week: 26)

The number one biggest sign that someone is a stupid idiot on these boards is when they question other people as fans and say they aren't "good fans".  I don't give a flying rats [BLEEP] how much money you spend on this product.  If you're still a Jags fan after the last ten years, you have my respect in at least that one aspect.

The other thing that is a true sign of a freaking moron is the whole Madden thing.  I don't know who started that but it is such an unbelievably [BLEEP] "insult" that is WAY over used.

ok winnig is your criteria. ok

was it gus who threw the pick six that cost us the Panther game? thats 1 win taken away by a players mistake

was it gus who missed 2 fieldgoals to beat the clots ? thats 1 more win taken away by players mistakes

was it gus who hiked the ball 6 ft over bortels head that cost us the game against the jest? 1 more win taken away by player mistakes

so 3 player mistakes cost us 3 wins lets look at what our record would be

we would be lets see ummm

8-7 going into the last game of the season with the division lead and at worst finishing 8-8

so would that be winning enough for your highness to keep gus around i mean it was only 3 mistakes by players gus had no control over ???? i know looking back is dumb but i was just curious would you still be calling for his head if this happend ??
