Gus Bradley Back in 2016
|
Quote:Caldwell has to hit homeruns on the defense to make up for the lack of coaching... Usually right around mini camp is where I start getting all hype and believing were a better team and this is the year. Next year I won't get to have that feeling. Thanks PCGB. I put this up on FB somewhere.. But the fact is with Gus's current w/l record... To get over .500 win % in his career he will need a 10-6 record next year, and 4 straight 11-5 seasons. When your Head coach needs half a decade of 10+ wins to barely get over .500 from only 3 seasons of coaching... Damn lol. I know, sure... The roster was completely gutted, which was unnecessary to say the least and only sets you back further. The fact is though, its a win loss business. Dave Caldwell is nearly just as responsible, but at least he has delivered on acquiring talent. The only good news is 2016 is a boom or bust year, Gus must win the division or clinch a playoff birth or I would imagine he is gone, possibly along with DC.

Usually a good sign is how well you do in your own division. Um not looking so good there either. Yikes! If anything you have to know your own division opponents well. Quote:More excuses for Gus. Facts of life, friend. Where exactly was Gus supposed to find a pass rush? Did you see how clean opposing teams' pockets were? How much time they had to throw? Our 3rd down defensive defiencies are easily explained. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Let's be honest. We all knew he was coming back.
He has shown zero good HC qualities but we all knew Shad wanted him back for one more year. We better fire Babich and bring in someone else. The problem is that Gus is dead set on running this defensive scheme no matter what. Again, a sign of a bad coach. You coach to your players strengths. We will NEVER see a schedule like the one we had this year. It was gift wrapped to us and we blew it. Quote:Facts of life, friend. Where exactly was Gus supposed to find a pass rush? Did you see how clean opposing teams' pockets were? How much time they had to throw? Our 3rd down defensive defiencies are easily explained.Redskins lost numerous key players on offense and defense. They play in an equally bad division and yet they won. Why? Gruden coaches to his players strengths. Quote:Facts of life, friend. Where exactly was Gus supposed to find a pass rush? I personally don't like the scheme they run and I wish they would have made some changes along the way. It's too late for that now. One way or another next year is going to be a fun and interesting one.
Quote:Redskins lost numerous key players on offense and defense. They play in an equally bad division and yet they won. Why?To be fair, the Giants should have run away with the East, just a few bad coaching/player decisions away from being a 10 win team this year. But, I get your point. But, I get your point.Lol there is nothing "to be fair" about. It's almost the exact same scenario. Gruden coached that team to their win total. They had a backup QB come in and lead them to the division. Quote:Smart move by the owner if you ask me, especially since there is a significant difference between his first season and now.3 wins? Delusional much? Heck this team had a much weaker schedule than year 1 ![]() Quote:Geez dude that's like paying a million dollar mortgage for a shack. I've heard from friends on the amazing improvements in the game day experience. However the product doesn't match. It's like selling crack with sprinkles on it ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
"Players love him"
If I were a player I would too. Miss a crucial Tackle and get a trip to Dairy Queen in return. Why not? ![]()
Quote:"Players love him" As long as your name ain't House, you never get benched. Quote:Honestly, the people who support Gus can't be reasoned with. The blind support is baffling. I don't get it.I went through this same thing with all the Gene Smith Followers. They will blindly support the regime. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. I will continue to drink coffee out of my jaguar mug, use my jaguar tervis when in the car, continue to buy jaguar clothes, but will not renew tickets. This is not a matter of finances, but solely a decision based on the principal of entertainment value to entertainment dollar, and the simplicity to pick up single game tickets when you do want to go.Because we have stunk for the most part of a decade. Fans don 't like to watch losers. I don't blame them. If I were still in Jville I would not go to watch that trash. ![]() Quote:Hence the "former" part of his title. He is not a defensive coordinator and doesn't scheme/call plays/formations/etc. on game day.So we went from a terrible smelling turd to a sweet smelling one? It was almost impossible to not be better ![]()
