Quote:corner is not as premium position as the top 3 which is why you rarely ever see a corner drafted top 5 unless he is an elite prospect.

I swear I don't make this stuff up.

im glad you posted that. Since that article before the 2012 draft not 1 corner has been drafted top 5. 5 QBs, 5 pass rushers, and 6LTs, O CBs have been drafted in the top 5 since that article

Maybe there hasn't been any worthy of high draft consideration? Taking a look around the league the 3 best CBs have been playing for some time now. Since 2012 has there been a CB drafted that you would consider elite? Maybe Josh Norman?

so you are saying Alexander is the best corner to come out in the in the last 5 years? You make a thread questioning whether VH3 is overrated and then you say this lol. I like MA but to draft him in the top 5 is a bit high IMO. Everyone has thier own opinions though

I don't know but Patrick Peterson is the last great Cb drafted in top 10. He was 5th overall pick in 2011.

I've never said such thing. It's obvious we've gotten off topic in this thread. VH3 is the #1 CB in my eyes at this time. He has the potential to go top 5. Alexander is currently top 10 with top 5 potential in my eyes based on how his off season goes.

And there hasn't been one since which is why there hasn't been any CBs taken high. That may change this year with Ramsey if drafted as a CB and VH3.

I like him better than VH3

Dude shredded his hammy tonight...... and it's not the same hammy he had injured previously. The dude is a baller, but I'd prefer the Jags steer clear.

How did he play? Any of the big plays by the TE on him?

Hopefully not too serious. A good game where he stayed healthy could have put him in the mix at #5. I'm guessing he'll only be a candidate if the team trades back.

He shut down Ridley for a quarter and a half.....he got hurt after that

he's  an elite Cover Corner and he tackles well in space

>>> VH3

I'd take dude at 5 no problems if he comes out. I'd even take him over Ramsey if both were available

Sounds like VH3 but VH3 gets turnovers

Alexander has 0 ints in his 2 years and Hargreaves has almost triple the tackles Alexander has in the last 2 years and 10 career ints, dont know where your getting he is so much better tackler in space when most of his tackles are on WRs

Don't get me wrong, the guy is a stud when he is on the field. The Jaguars are really in no position to take the risk of a player that is going to be sidelined. Hamstrings are a nagging injury and he has already injured both of them. It was reported that could barely walk on it last night, so I'm thinking he tore the hammy and that's not good. A torn hamstring is no small deal going forward.

Was Michigan the only game VHIII looked underwhelming in? Jehu Chesson is not an NFL caliber WR (at least not at this point) and had the 2nd best game of his career on VHIII.

I watched ever single Hargreaves game and thats the worst he looked, I think at that point his mind was on the NFL

Even the game Amari Cooper torched UF last year, Cooper only had like 51 yards when lined up against VH3
