Absolutely. It is ridiculous that Calvin Johnson got more votes. But oh well, at least Allen Robinson is playing in it.

He should not have been voted in. This is perfect example of why the Pro Bowl should not have fan voting.

 

I assume Calvin Johnson pulled out because he is pondering retirement. Good to know an injury is not why Allen Robinson got a chance.

Unbelievable. I thought players and coaches knew he was not Pro Bowl worthy and got hurt several times. They should know more than the fans do.

I was surprised as anyone that Calvin Johnson made the Pro Bowl this year because he didn't have the stats.   Being able to open things up for other players and blocking contributions usually aren't enough.  

 

 Though I definitely believe Allen Robinson should have been voted into the Pro Bowl w/o being a Pro Bowl alternate,  PFF ranked Calvin Johnson as the 5th best WR in the NFL this year.   Say what you want about PFF but they breakdown the tapes of every NFL game.

PFF tends to go with whatever the census feels the best player is I mean why do they have Allen Robinson at only 89 and Calvin Johnson at 89.2 this season, yet they dont even have Julius Thomas in their top 10 of TEs and he too was injured and didnt have great stats due to it.

   I'm not sure how much weight PFF puts into the number of games missed and the number of overall plays.   In the case of Calvin Johnson this season,  despite the ankle injury he suffered against the Chiefs in London that landed him on the weekly injury report for the remaining 8 games,   he didn't miss a game this season.   Also,  he played in the Lions vast majority of plays.   This is unlike the 2014 season in which Calvin missed 3 full games and a large part of 2 others.

To think that Allen Robinson was drafted 61 overall, and Allen Hurns wasn't even drafted by any team....

 

Lucky the Jaguars got both of them on the Roster.. if Burns didnt get injured he probably would've made it to the ProBowl too!
