I hope so. But we all know Peyton Manning's "stellar" postseason play. It could be another Peyton choke job.

Quote:I'm just curious. Did you advocate for the Jags cutting DD after he clotheslined Ferguson? Or is it because of Burfict's history?
I advocated for DD not to be ejected but he was. Yes it's for burficts repeated history, he obviously hasn't learned his lesson!

Not time to worry about that one yet.

So much depends on the health of the Pittsburgh Steelers.   A few weeks ago,  even the Broncos Defense struggled against the Steelers Offense in the 2nd half of their game that the Steelers ended up winning.    If the Steelers are limited on Offense because of injuries to keep players,  then there's no question they are in serious trouble.

Quote:And the hit where the steelers guy led with his helmet on Bernard wasnt? Don't give me the "it wasn't a penalty" crap. This day and age leading with your helmet is dirty; we know the effects now. From my vantage it looked like he led with his shoulder. Like I said either way both of those teams are dirty. I'd venture to say the whole North division is dirty

The play was over and Burfict went full speed and obliterated Brown by lowering his shoulder into his head. It doesn't matter what he hit him with. It was unnecessary and resulted in an injury.

AFCN "Slobberknocker".

That's why that division has the reputation of being hard-nosed and tough.

Steelers, Bengals, Ravens (when healthy) all beat the crap out of each other.

It's a well earned reputation.

That was the most crooked officiating I've seen since, well, the '05 Super Bowl. Shocked.

I didn't get to see Darius' hit on Ferguson so I can't compare it to this one. But watching the replays of the play I think it's clear that Burfict targeted Brown intentionally. He lowers his shoulder for the hit only after the ball has already glanced off Brown's fingers and there's virtually no effort to avoid contact altogether even though there's plenty of time to do so. I don't think the hit to the helmet or the outcome of the hit were intentional but he clearly hit Brown on purpose.

The Bengals have no problem signing players of questionable character. It cost them this year. Punkman Jones certainly helped the cause.

Then classless fans. Ben going to locker room on cart and gets a beer can thrown at him. Another overheard saying I hope he's dead after seeing Brown laying on the field.

Too bad for guys like McCarron who had potentially won the game at the last minute, while the " leaders" of the team punked him.

That loss had to hurt. Especially when self inflicted because of discipline issues.

Completely agree on the classless acts of those fans. I really hope the security at PBS found that jackazz that threw the bottle/can and kicked their sorry azz all the way out of the game. It was sickening.

But, the classless actions of some trashy people absolutely does not mean the whole fan base acts that way. Having been to Paul Brown Stadium on many occasions,, I've found/encountered many level-headed, nice, and cordial people. And I'm 100% positive that quite many of their fans are completely embarrassed and disgusted of the acts of a few trashy people.

Painting a whole group of people into the same light as a few ignorant morons is just wrong.

Every single fan base has people included that are complete jackazzes,, every one. That doesn't mean that most of the fans are the same type of trash.

I've met alot of very cool Philly and Pittsburgh fans. Both of those fan bases have a reputation of having a ton of classless fans. But that certainly doesn't mean all of them are trash.

Jags fan base is the same way. Many, many cool people (hello MB!) are Jags fans. But somewhere there are completely trashy, ignorant, moronic Jags fans too. That certainly doesn't mean all Jags fans are classless.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

Steelers play like that again, and they won't advance.  That won't be good enough.

But then, it is Manning in the playoffs.  There's still a chance.

Yup. I'm almost expecting another Manning postseason choke.

Ben has a possible separated shoulder and Brown's head is still ringing. Can't say I feel sorry for the Steelers or their fans if last night left them wrecked.

There's a few vids of DD's hit on Youtube.

Now Pacman has come out saying he thinks Brown was faking it. It sounds like he said this initially and then said it again later on. Initially saying he deserved an Oscar for the performance and the 2nd time saying he should get a grammy.

Yeah I want no part of this guy as a FA.
