Derrick Henry Is A First Round Talent

#1

This guy is an unbeilable player. He's a physical specimen and wherever he goes, he sets records. He's a little big for a RB but wow, is he powerful but so fast for his size. Id be surprised if he's not drafted in the 1st round.

Dallas needs to try and trade back up in the first with their 2nd pick. Would be the perfect team for him. The team he goes to needs to have a good line.

He'll be a bust..too big and too stiff to excel at RB in the L

He's slow and gonna be fat.

He's Eddie Lacy.

The only thing you said that I agree with is that he is a physical specimen.

The O-line he runs behind will determine if he is a bust or not.

He may have a 1000 yard season or 2 but I doubt he'll have the same kind of impact in the NFL that he had in college

Henry lacks NFL "shake".

Yesterday he was constantly brought down by the 1st defender. If he doesn't have the momentum to run through you, hes going down.

yea he is pretty stiff.  reminds me of Darren McFadden in that regards.  And McFadden has only been a solid rotational back.  I think Henry can be better than that though.  Think he would be a monster playing behind the zone blocking Broncos line from years back.  One cut and then gone.  No need to be real shifty.  But he'd be terrible playing on the Chip Kelly Eagles which needs a shake and bake guy.  moral of the story dont think he'd be a great back anywhere.  Needs the right team.

The only RB I've seen in a while that was worthy of a low to mid first round pick was Gurley.

Henry should be thanking his lucky stars that Cook and Fournette aren't eligible or else he'd get pushed to the 2nd

Prob not 1st round, he doesnt catch the ball or block great, but will def go in the 2nd

And he is not slow, he's 250 and prob runs a 4.5, and not fat thats all muscle buddy

How would fans feel if we took Jalen Ramsey in round one and Derrick Henry in round two? And pair him up with T.J. Yeldon?

Henry could be the back that Brandon Jacobs was for a while. He can be very effective at the next level. 1st round though, I don't think so.

Henry isn't slow. He can run away from defenders. What he lacks is burst. It takes him time to get going. Once he does, he is a beast. He will get comparisons to Brandon Jacobs, but Jacobs had more explosion. Henry has more top end speed. The question about Henry is, does he have enough burst to succeed in the NFL? I'm just not sure.

I'll be curious to see Henry's 20 yard agility, vertical, first 10 yard split of 40, and broad jump to see Henry's explosiveness compared to Jacobs numbers. I'd venture to guess Henry's is better.

a luxury pick type of guy. Probably thrive on a team like the pats.

Lacy on the Jags would be terrible. Imagine MJD in his last season with the team....Lacy might be even slower and fatter than that right now.

I'm no Lacy fan but I think he's a solid back in GB who needs to get his weight in check.

I'd be upset...

We don't need to draft another skill position for offense. If anything, we need to draft a lineman to replace Joke and even that's pushing it. This year has to be about defense and only defense, or we're going to have another 5-11 season. Although I wouldn't mind picking Kelvin Taylor in the 6th or 7th round just for the heck of it. It would be awesome if he turned into a very good RB for us - just like his dad.
