They gambled and went young on offense and it did work. Wouldn't you agree? They focused pretty much 80% of the time on building that offense first. Just last year took DFJ first round and several free agents on D, but it's obvious they wanted to attack offense first. Makes sense.

Going young is actually the safe bet.

 

You get stuck in the rebuilding phase when you change coaches and GMs before giving their plans a realistic chance to come to fruition.

 

But your closing qualification speaks volumes...."as we are on defense."

If they can get just one good to really good DE in FA, this would make a huge difference. Ramsey in the draft. This could really jump start our defense next season. They just need a key big time FA acquisition to kick this thing off.
