Quote:It depends on Cann too. People forget that Cann was a LG at college. So the natural transition is to slide Cann back to his old position and keep Linder at his RG position. There has been some talk that Cann will get consideration at C. I would presume this would be in the event that, for whatever reason, the Jaguars do not sign Alex Mack. If it came down to playing a rookie somewhere in the starting lineup, based upon the depth at the various positions and Cann, which would you rather see and why: I. Cann at LG and a rookie at C; or II Cann at C and a rookie at LG. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

I've yet to look at the center prospects in this draft so I know very little about them. My assumption is that we'll sign a veteran C or someone from within takes the job. However, let's go off some of my favorite prospects in previous drafts. If there's an Alex Mack in this draft, I'd have no problem going with him at C and Cann at LG. If there's Brandon Scherff in this draft, then I slide Cann to C. Quote:I still wonder if they'll end up putting Linder on the left and keeping Cann on the right. Linder next to Joekel would be a huge help.Cann played his whole career at South Carlina at LG. I was surprised he played RG as well as he did. I think we are set at the guards Quote:Cann played his whole career at South Carlina at LG. I was surprised he played RG as well as he did. Or kick Cann to Center and trot out a line of Luke/Osemele/AJ/Linder/Parnell.
Gotta spend that money somewhere. “Motivation alone is not enough. If you have an idiot and you motivate him,now you have a motivated idiot.” Jim Rohn
We still have Bowanko. He played pretty well at center in 2014. I think Wiz won the job over him this year partly (or even mostly) because Wiz was familiar with Olson's offense.
I'd rather have Cann - Bowanko - Linder than move Cann over to center and keep Beadles, which is what I'm afraid the Jags are considering. Quote:Why is everyone so sure Beadles aint back. It's very likely. It's very unlikely actually. That's the reason we drafted Cann and releasing him gives us more cap room to spend on D Quote:Did you watch him this year? He was easily our worst lineman. Killed a good few great plays with penalties too. Still people are talking like Caldwell already said he was cut. Stranger things have happened. We show less advertisements to registered users. I remember something about the Dolphins wanting to trade for him at the beginning of the season? There would be some desperate takers.
Y'all Beadles is the only guy on our o-line who has been to the Pro Bowl.
lol life is funny Quote:Wouldn't it be smarter to keep him as trade bait? The offensive line play is horrendous in the NFL. We could get something for him.Someone trade for Beadles? Dude.... You got a lot to learn if you believe that. Quote:Y'all Beadles is the only guy on our o-line who has been to the Pro Bowl. And he was our worst lineman.... What's your point? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Someone trade for Beadles? Beadles is by no means playing at a Pro Bowl level but he is serviceable. The guy's has been playing next to turnstile Joeckel for crying out loud. No one's gonna look amazing next to him and teams would take that into consideration. The NFL offensive line play is so horrid right now and just being one of the more recognized "names" in the NFL helps his case. I think someone would easily kick the tires on him. Even just for a late round pick. Hell, if we could get one for Gabbert.... Quote:And he was our worst lineman.... What's your point? Exactly that. He's our worst guy and still a pro-bowler. Proves it's just a garbage popularity contest. Although, maybe Beadles was kinda good back in the day? I don't remember.
