Jags interview Jim Schwartz

Quote:Maybe Schwartz couldn't see himself succeeding with the personnel on defense.

The Eagles personnel isn't much better on D.

It doesn't look good, but so far only Phily's Action News has said he's in line to become their DC. Every other report I've seen recently has said he's in Philadelphia to interview for the position.

Also none of the major national reporters have said anything about him being hired yet.

I'm sure the guy is just going through the process and I don't blame him. Free flights, dinners, trips around town etc....

Speaking of national reporters:

<p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">Defensive coordinator candidate Jim Schwartz is in Philly as we speak. He's already interviewed with <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Jaguars?src=hash'>#Jaguars</a>, could be <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/hashtag/Eagles?src=hash'>#Eagles</a> guy.

Or he realized instantly that Gus was going to expect him to change his scheme to fit what Gus wants to do on defense and said, "No thank you."

Well, its the optimism of the local TV station that the eagles will hire him....but who knows?  :turned:

Quote:Don't forget about one of the worst snaps I've ever seen for a defensive TD, too. Like was said before, the breakdowns that allowed the titans to win even though Bortles threw 5 TDs really captured what was wrong with the season. The Jaguars constantly failed at successfully executing the basics, things that well coached teams never get wrong.

Of all the things for which Gus may be responsible, this is the least. John Fox has a decent coaching resume, is he to be blamed for this?
