Quote:You mean like British Parliament proposing to ban him from the continent? The reason for the ban petition was in relation to the property he owns in Scotland. As it turns out, the petition wasn't even created because of his "harsh" words. Why? Because certain locals feel that his business is imposing on them. http://mashable.com/2015/12/11/donald-tr..._kpTBCr8qk You didn't know that, did you? You bought into the media narrative that he was only being banned because he said mean things, right? You didn't know he had been working with Scottish officials, politicians, business owners, and others for years before the ban was created? Don't buy into the media narrative. Trump works with foreign entities like above all over the world. Ben Carson doesn't. Now you know ![]() Quote:We all know that's not going to happen. No it won't. But it illustrates what he brings to the table in terms of international relations. You think he's polarizing here? Countries that aren't as tolerant of xenophobic bigots have a much greater number of folks on the "anti-Trump" wagon. Enough that British Parliament debated his entry to the UK for three solid hours.

Because certain locals feel that his business is imposing on them. Trump Aberdeen is one of the most beautiful golf course I have ever seen. The fact they tried to prevent him from building is crazy. Quote:The reason for the ban petition was in relation to the property he owns in Scotland. As it turns out, the petition wasn't even created because of his "harsh" words. Why? Because certain locals feel that his business is imposing on them. LOL. I don't live with my head in the sand, dude. I know all about his Scottish dealings. It's why so many there already hated the guy. And I didn't "buy into"anything. Ease up on the condescension there bud. And it was a petition (started in Scotland) that brought about the debate in Parliament. Quote:1:30 a.m.: The debate begins with Flynn reading two petitions — one calling for Trump to be banned, and the other saying Britain should “mind our own business.” The petition favoring a ban attracted more than 570,000 signatures. The one opposing a ban received about 40,000. The debate is being held outside the main chamber of the House of Commons, with members gathered in a semi-circle. Several dozen members appear to be present. Minutes of the meeting from the Washington Post. Also from the Post: Quote:The debate, which was triggered by an online petition that described Trump’s comments about Muslims as “hate speech,” did not produce any binding decisions. Authority to ban someone from the country rests with the home secretary, not with Parliament. But the exchange gave British lawmakers an unusual chance to weigh in directly on U.S. politics. I don't care who started the petition - the fact that it was debated for three straight hours in Parliament should tell you how welcome he is there. I didn't buy into a narrative. Only facts. Now you know. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:No it won't. But it illustrates what he brings to the table in terms of international relations. I'm not going to sit here and pretend Trump is a master of foreign policy, because he's not. His strengths oddly happen to be what the biggest problems with our country are right now. I'm sure if he had a chance to go back, he would change the way he approached things, but he cant. The one thing he does have on his side is time. Time causes people to forget. Once he gets past the GOP Primary, people will forget some of the stuff he said. Time makes people forget.
Quote:No it won't. But it illustrates what he brings to the table in terms of international relations. The reason for the ban is business, not politics. Nobody actually cares about Trump being banned in Britain, certainly not the Brits. They believe he would cause riots in the streets. They said the same about Geert Wilders when they tried to ban him. Then Wilders went over there and nobody cared. If Trump is banned and pulls his business out, Scotland or the locals will be able to repossess the property from him. That is what this is about, and that is why the petition was created. The creator just used standard liberal tactics to inflame the locals to her benefit.
Quote:I'm not going to sit here and pretend Trump is a master of foreign policy, because he's not. His strengths oddly happen to be what the biggest problems with our country are right now. That's what the Jews in Germany said about Hitler. "He's only saying this to get elected. Once he gets elected, he'll ease off on us." And what is his strength exactly? Starring in a reality TV show? Floating junk bonds to finance casinos? Declaring bankruptcy? Building skyscrapers? Is that our biggest problem right now? We don't have enough skyscrapers? It seems to me his biggest "strength" is his ability to piss people off.

A man who has produced thousands of jobs and employed thousands of people, worked internationally for nearly half a century, developed thousands of buildings and projects, and can brush off the false media narrative aren't important traits? Sad you believe that. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

If Obamas weak issues were his inexperience such as foreign policy, why would anyone make the same mistake with another inexperienced rookie POTUS?
The guys qualifications to lead this country are no better than BOs was. From a community organizer to a Wall St businessman? That's what we want? How can some complain about ones inexperience, yet look the other way for another? Pure political agenda. Wait. Newsflash. Sarah Palin is in his corner now...victory. As McCain shakes his head.

Quote:I'm not too worried about having a neuro=surgeon's finger on the button. It's a heck of a lot better than Donald Trump's.At least Carson will have a steady hand as he pushes the button because the Joint Chiefs are screaming at him to do so and he doesn't know any better. Trump, Cruz, Carson. All of them scare me. I doubt any of them would push the big red button, but they scare me for different reasons.
"Once trump is elected President, he'll settle down!" Then how do you know what parts of what he's saying is what he actually believes, and what parts of what he's saying he's only saying to drum up support? Do you cherry pick the things you like, and hope for the best? It's no better than Hillary Clinton, who you can never be sure exactly where she stands on issues. (If Hillary Clinton took a candidates quiz, she wouldn't side with herself most out of everyone)
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

Quote:Lol, whut? He's a brain surgeon. Brain surgeons have to have a steady hand. Otherwise they'll shake, cut the wrong nerve and BOOM you're a turnip. I mean, in that one second you became very, very wealthy, but now you're a very wealthy turnip.

Yes, doctors also don't do "taking orders from other people" very well. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

High energy is good energy. On cherrypicking, it is kind of obvious. Find me a candidate that you agree with 100% on every single issue. You won't find one. Which is why you prioritize your issues and pick the candidate that best aligns with your positions. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! If something can corrupt you, you're corrupted already.

Quote:Yes, doctors also don't do "taking orders from other people" very well. That's one of the worst things about Carson: his belief that he is being guided by God. It makes me wonder if he'll consider anyone's point of view who disagrees with him. If someone thinks God is telling them what to do, why would they listen to anyone else? |
