Newton could use a little more modesty and dignity

I believe it came up when Jameis was all over social media for his antics. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I've heard this before. In a way, he reminds me of a Muhammed Ali or Apollo Creed type of guy. He's at the top of his game, on the biggest stage, and just happens to play a different sport.
We're just not used to seeing that type of "flash" or "personality" from the NFL QB position to date. Doesn't bother me, but to each their own. Whatever.
He is a pretty good player for being "The Worst Draft pick of All Time".

Quote:He is a pretty good player for being "The Worst Draft pick of All Time". "Let's ask Denver Broncos fans if they would like to trade Tebow for Newton straight up. They would laugh in your face. Football fans know even if the experts have no clue. We can spot a fraud when we see one. In five years, when Tebow is leading Denver into the playoffs and Cam Newton is riding someone's bench, remember this article." Yikes. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:Not everyone thinks as much of you... as you do.. Cammers.. He was over the top. The Nfl definately had a wwe feel yesterday. Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster The Home Hypnotist! Media on the Brain Link! Quote:Peyton must store oxygen in that forehead of his. No way I'd still be alive after all that choking. Quote:In a way, he reminds me of a Muhammed Ali or Apollo Creed type of guy. Muhammad Ali would have never put on the mopey post game pressers Cam has put on when things didn't go his way. He is a child. When he wins, he is celebrated for his youthful excitement, but when he loses, he is a whiny female dog. I respect his game, but Cam (Ham.. Scam..) the human being is not someone I would want to spend any time with.
Only a chump boos the home team!
The NFL is starting to be a drain to me with the over analysis of a game. I mean really CBS you have Jay Feely explaining a missed extra point. UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
I don't like Cam's antics but I really don't like Peyton Manning. We all know he pushed the boundaries to squeeze out some extra millions and repair the nerve damage. This is sports. It bugs me more that people are applying "team" feelings to their political parties. Bread and Circuses... Are you not entertained?
Birth of the Franchise - November 30, 1993
Death of the Franchise - November 29, 2011 Fans deserve better. Thanks for all the good times too many are in the past.
Quote:Which is a rarity in these parts. That's fair and I totally respect that. But you're right...for OP to hate Cam because of that is senseless. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:He was over the top. The Nfl definately had a wwe feel yesterday. How do you put a cap on the emotions of that game and its magnitude? I mean seriously. Let the players celebrate their accomplishments. Especially since no one has given them any credit or respect all year. Including before the game yesterday
Quote:Congratulations by the way. Best of luck against 5 head Thank you - I appreciate that.
When he lost people were mad about the towel on his head. Now hes league mvp and hes too happy about it? Have you seen psycho tom?
Lol. Personally i love it. Its entertaining.
Shut the hell up and stop him!!! Nobody complains when Rodgers does his super unclassy belt thing!!!

If the Jaguars were 17-1 and heading to the Super Bowl and Bortles was celebrating in a similar fashion everyone would love it.
"I'm not mad, I'm proud of you. You took your first pinch like a man and you learn two great things in your life. Look at me, never rat on your friends and always keep your mouth shut." - Jimmy Conway

He's annoying.
It makes it hard to even consider rooting for him. But... who cares? I'm not a panthers fan, so I don't let it get to me.
Quote:You must have low character levels....and smelly laundry. You speak of class and character....then you put this drivel on the board. Speaking out of both ends of your mouth.
Newton has been a unique personality for me. He has done nothing but positive things off the field in Carolina community and has produced way more than what he has been paid on the field. All of his teammates love him, feed off his positive energy and elevated their game. Never once did he complained about getting cheap shots, cheating, or play dirty -- hello, Brady and Suh -- and his way of responding to all of that is to "dap it in your face" whenever he scores. With the way some of the media and some fans try to over sensationalize his personality, I've always seen him as an underdog in the NFL.
He's a once in a generational talent as a football player, and the more people root against him, the more I want to see him succeed. |
