Realistic Free Agency Targets

Several will be signed.
The real question is how many of them are signed in the first wave of free agency since those are the guys most likely to make an impact. Obviously you might hit on a SenDerrick Marks-type-of-player who signs three weeks into the FA period, but the odds aren't in your favor. The odds are tough enough hitting on a high-dollar free agent early on -- but the Jags have the money to sign at least two of those guys and I think they will. As well as a few more from from the middle shelf and bargain basement.
Quote:Several will be signed. You would like to believe the first wave of UFAs always make a huge impact on your team. Unfortunately that was not the case for Zane Beadles, who became a Jaguar on the first day of free agency. We had the money to sign DeMarco Murray last year. His decision not to be a Jaguar is a reminder big name players don't want to play for losers because the team he did choose was not a scheme fit. I really wish people would hold off on these threads until after the resigning/franchise tag period.
Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good
Quote:I really wish people would hold off on these threads until after the resigning/franchise tag period. Blame NFL.com for it. The analysts there ranked and listed all pending free agents, so people think now is a good time to say who they want. I agree nobody should be writing a free agent wish list before they know which players get franchise tags. Quote:How many free agents do you think we will sign this year?74 and a half. What about Lane from Seattle? If we go after bigger options at other positions
Quote:If i could have it my way? Awesome list. Jaye Howard is a stud.
Shock the world
I think the Broncos will try very hard to keep Danny Trevathan. His value to the defense is underestimated. Does anybody seriously think they will let him test the market?

Jaye Howard is a transition tag candidate and KC wants him, but ... he'd be a nice addition if the chiefs don't want to match and the Jags want to over-pay.
(9.3mil tag number) http://www.kansascity.com/sports/nfl/kan...75840.html

(9.3mil tag number) We all know what happened last time the Jaguars tried to pray a transition tagged player away from his team. I would never use the word "realistic" when discussing tagged free agents Dave Caldwell should target. Quote:I think the Broncos will try very hard to keep Danny Trevathan. Quote:What does that mean?it means everyone is hungry and they cant feed them all
Quote:it means everyone is hungry and they cant feed them all I asked what is means for the DENVER BRONCOS to have a lot of mouths to feed, because obviously it is not their job to do that. |
