Doug Marrone MIA

Quote:I get all other pieces of obvious sarcasm in this thread......not sure about this one though. I think you may be srs?

I doubt it. Why would someone be serious about wanting someone to be the HC just because his name is Butkus?

However he probably is serious about wanting a replacement for Paul "Gus" Bradley.

If Marrone knew he had a surgical procedure that needed to be done, he should have scheduled it for after the Senior Bowl. As an assistant head coach, his evaluation of the players is third in importance only behind Caldwell and Gus. This was highly irresponsible dereliction of duty on Marrone's part, and the Jaguars should strongly consider terminating him with cause.

How do you know he had the option to have the surgery later? So far nobody has posted what type of surgery he needed.

Because surgery has to be scheduled. Doctors don't just sit around the OR waiting for nurses to wheel a patient in. Patients call in advance to schedule them, which means that Marrone could have scheduled it for later.

Most operations have to be scheduled no matter what they are for. My dad scheduled cancer removal surgery.

Well, see, it's understandable that your dad would have his cancer surgery scheduled quickly. That's life-threatening, and no human being would fault him for that. But Marrone had excess skin on his elbows. That's not something that has to be done right this second. It could have waited. He should be fired for going AWOL. Maybe that Buffalo check went to his head, and now that he's independently wealthy, he no longer care about football.

Quote:Absolutely not. It is not Doug Marrone's fault he needed surgery this week.

Darn tootin'. It's clearly Gus Bradley's fault.

Is there any other emotion to have about anything regarding this team?

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
