The one concern with Spence is can he hold up against the run? He's like 250 Lbs, not sure if he's strong enough to set the edge. Which means teams will run right at him when hes in the game, which would relegate him to a situational pass rusher type role. The Jags would have to get creative in how they use, stand him up on 1st and 2nd down and let him rush on 3rd, similar to how John Fox used Von Miller in Denver. The difference is Miller is a super freak and can cover, set the edge and rush the passer.

I think the 250 pounds is fine, it just depends on how violent and physical he intends to play.


You are right, though. If he isn't going to produce in the run game, then it would be very difficult to select him at 5. I hope the coaches find this out over the next couple of months.

Idk man, his stock seems to be rising at a high rate right now. Teams have been impressed with his play and the way he has conducted interviews. This probably doesn't mean much, but Braxton Miller compared him to Von Miller...
