Who's "your guy(s)"?

Quote:The one concern with Spence is can he hold up against the run? He's like 250 Lbs, not sure if he's strong enough to set the edge. Which means teams will run right at him when hes in the game, which would relegate him to a situational pass rusher type role. The Jags would have to get creative in how they use, stand him up on 1st and 2nd down and let him rush on 3rd, similar to how John Fox used Von Miller in Denver. The difference is Miller is a super freak and can cover, set the edge and rush the passer.

I think the 250 pounds is fine, it just depends on how violent and physical he intends to play.

You are right, though. If he isn't going to produce in the run game, then it would be very difficult to select him at 5. I hope the coaches find this out over the next couple of months.

The coaches should find that out this week because they are coaching him.

Quote:We don't need a WR in this draft. Why should we waste a pick on one when there are still big needs on the roster?

Cause I don't see it as a waste. It's a mid to late round pick. Those hardly equate to much anyway.

I think Spence will go anywhere between pick 20 in round 1 and pick 10 in round 2.No higher, no lower.

Idk man, his stock seems to be rising at a high rate right now. Teams have been impressed with his play and the way he has conducted interviews. This probably doesn't mean much, but Braxton Miller compared him to Von Miller...

Oviedo's own Jeff Driskel in Round 6 or 7.

The dude threw for 4,000+ yards and 27 TDs 8 ints last year.

Something tells me that he was terribly coached under Muschamp.

Get rid of Henne and his $4 salary --- pay Driskel $500k and develop him under Bortles

I think we are definitely looking for a backup QB to groom.

If we could grab Driskel in Round 7 or bring him in as an UFA, it may be worthwhile.

Wonder if Bortles would be OK with that given the fact Driskel was the #1 QB in the state (from Hagarty HS) while wasn't getting much attention over at Oviedo HS

It is obvious we need to.

Really liking La'Raven Clark. If we can get a Safety and Pass Rusher in rounds 1-2, then he is the guy I want in Rd 3 (if he is there).

He is massive with super-long arms, and comes from a heavy passing team. Let him compete with Luke and Parnell, or possibly move him inside in Cann goes to Center,

I was thinking A.J. Cann will move to LG. Did he ever play center in college?

Dave has mentioned Cann possibly making the move to Center several times. I'm not sure if I like that or not but if Dave thinks he can then I'm interested to see how he does.

I think we need a natural center with a lot of experience at that position. If Cann has always been a guard, how can we expect him to be an upgrade from Wiz?

He was one of the top Centers in HS so no, he hasn't always been a guard.

So why didn't he play center last year?
