You don't seem to realize that your blind love of the guy is just as stupid as their hate is. Have you said anything even slightly negative about the guy on here at all?

 

For someone that isn't trying to make everyone love him, he sure does respond to a lot of posts in this thread.  Guy has never been so active on this board.  People aren't even killing the guy...the people that don't like it mostly say they wish he'd tone it down a bit.

 

I think it's great.  Even when he was at UF you could see the character come out at times when he was young.  I think most of what he does is genuine and doesn't go over the top.  TO and Ocho were much more annoying than him at times.

 

I think something that turned a lot of people off about Cam was the whole Auburn recruitment....lets not all be naïve and act like some money didn't exchange hands at some point.

I can name 50+ positive things Cam has done and the guy on here wants to hate him for a mistake he made when he was 18?!? That's absolutely insane for anyone to feel that way about anybody and I stand by that (and it's obvious by the posts in here that I'm not alone)


You want to hate Cam because he's a crappy QB or because he beat your team or whatever then go for it. I couldn't care less. But if you want to discredit a man's character for a BS reason then the issue is with you.

One more thing, want to know who got this anti Cam movement started?  Your hometown newspaper.  So if you're going to go after people for talking trash about Cam you should protest your local paper.  They had no reason to publish those silly letters to the editor.  The only reason they did it was to get cheap buys and clicks and it worked....the problem was the story blew up and other teams fans that disliked him knew they had a chance to get published now.

I never said he should stop doing it, but rather that it's beginning to feel somewhat self serving because of all the attention it receives and it goes beyond just Cam. Your team didn't invent giving footballs to kids in the stands, but you guys are the only team I've seen that "fights" with defenders to get the ball back so they can hand it to someone in the stands. Maybe I am wrong, but I think part of the reason they do that is because of the praise that's heaped upon them afterwards.

 

Cam and the rest of your team are free to do what they want and you're free to love every minute of it, but that doesn't mean I can't get burned out by seeing it plastered everywhere.

Cam's been doing it for 5 years now. No one in the media said anything about it until they started winning. He's always done it and no one ever thought it was self-severing before. And he only has to "fight" with defenders because they're purposefully trying to keep the ball away from him. Hell...when I was at the game in New Orleans the ref wouldn't give Cam the ball.. He tossed it to the ballboy. Cam ran over to get the ball from him and even the ballboy tried to keep it from him. However, the 5'1" 235lb 20 year old was no match.
