Allen Robinson at the Pro Bowl

#41

Good question. Maybe someone declined his invitations after being voted in, but otherwise, I doubt it.

Today's pro bowl is simply nothing more than a popularity contest. That's literally all it is.

8/14 184 1td is such a great game. He could not even complete passes and in the probowl the don't even rush the QB. Had not been for that on td to v.jax. It was hard to watch him even compete as a jaguar.

Making Pro-Bowls actually did matter back in the day (I'm talking 80's and further back,,, maybe early 90's mattered too).

Since the late 90's it has gotten progressively worse, and has become the absolute joke that we see in this era.

So, yes. Probowl accolades did help the case for HOF induction to players of eras past.

It shouldn't even be a consideration in this era,, IMO.

I wonder how much Allen Robinson will play tonight. Being a backup, I doubt he will play in the first quarter.

Would anyone care to make statistic predictions?

I was wondering how much time he will get as well, I believe I might be going out to dinner so I wont see the first quarter, then again I could record it....

You should not have a problem with that because he is a backup. But you never know.

Thanks, I wondered how many yards that play was.

Keep it up Allen!

They need to seriously figure out how to make the pro bowl watchable. There needs to be some sort of stakes. If AFC or NFC wins, the Super Bowl will be held at a stadium of one of those teams in that specific conference (do Super Bowls really need YEARS of pre-planning, if they can build that LA stadium in less than a year, they surely can plan a super bowl in that time). But, I guess now since there are just teams with players from both conferences this idea doesn't make too much sense.

It takes 2-3 years to build a stadium.

I doubt that was Allen Robinson's fault.
