What are you most excited about in the offseason?

It always comes in stages for me. While it technically isn't the offseason, I really enjoy the Senior Bowl and the week leading up to it. Our coaching staff's involvement aside, I really enjoy getting an inside look as to how a staff runs a practice, albeit an overly scripted one.

The Combine is always a good time because you get a rough feel for how players are doing at interviews and their athletic ability. It's just fun to watch for me.

Then the frenzy that is Free Agency. People lose their minds over these "leaked reports" that a guy is close to signing here or there, with this team or that team. And the ludicrous part of it is that people don't even realize it's not coming from the player! NFL rules state that teams cannot talk to players prior to the start of Free Agency, but they can talk to their representatives. This is backed up by the comment that Bradley made when he said that he never even spoke to Julius Thomas prior to him signing with the team last March. Really all that it is occurring is the Player's Agent is dropping hints to reporters with the intent to drive up the market for his guy. The more buzz there is about their guy, the better they feel I guess.

Then there is the actual Free Agent haul. I rarely get excited about this because I guess I'm just a bit jaded by how many times over the years Free Agents have failed. Still, it is nice to think about all the new toys that a team gets.

And then the Draft. Just like Hustler stated above, It's like three days of Christmas!

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

I'm looking forward to a shorter break before the draft this year.

I remember a lot of posters complained about the draft being two weeks later. Yes, it is always a good thing to have that event in April.

The first wave of FA signings and the draft.

Free agency and the draft are overhyped, but gives the most hope.  Given Dave's track record, I am more likely to see the draft class follow through the hype than the free agency signings.

The NFL Draft (plus we get Fowler back!)

The start of FA and the draft. I used to like watching the combine. Now I just want the draft to hurry up and get here; the same with FA. Even though the win column wasn't what I wanted this last year, we definitely made a huge improvement on the offense. Now, we need to get the D up to par and get a better run game going. Then the sky's the limit!

GO JAGS!!

I enjoy both free agency and the draft. It's always exciting to hear when the team brings in a potential big-time free agent and whether they can sign him before he leaves town to visit another team. Last year, signing Julius Thomas was the highlight. I hope the team can sign two big-time free agents this year from among Vernon, Jenkins, Malik Jackson, Trevathan and Gipson. Doesn't really matter which two since they can then concentrate on the other position areas in the draft. This year's draft class looks strong so the Jaguars can find immediate starters in rounds 1-3 at positions of need.

I don't think we can get both Jackson and Trevathan, but either one would make me a happy Jaguars fan. Even if we sign neither, I expect to get a couple upgrades on defense through free agency,

I 2nd this. Of course, UNF's run to the NCAA tourney last year helped a little. Hopefully they can do it again. Made waiting for the draft less annoying.

Everything.  I just love playing and watching the game of football and since i don't watch/follow every college or NFL team, this is my chance to research and get the scoop on everything happening.  That's what makes the entire offseason feel like months of Christmas for me, because i get all my football news when there is basically none to watch.

Plus with Fowler coming back with new FA and Draft defensive help on top of that this year, I.....just.....cant.....wait.

Season Tix, Section 409

2023 and still counting.....SB will finally be ours soon enough.

I like the middle-priced free agents, not so much the high-ticket ones.  Look at DeMarco Murray. Look at Suh.

I guess Julius Thomas would be an exception.

It depends on the player. JPP certainly will be high-priced, but nobody wants to overpay a guy who can't sack quarterbacks anymore. OTOH it would be silly to not shell out a lot of money for Malik Jackson.

Nothing is more fun for me than the draft. Can't wait!

Not falling for excitement again this year. Dipped cones over sprinkles would raise the bar. A chocolate fountain would be boss. Anymore would be like a dream.
