NFL.com 4 round mock draft

#21

I want to know why so many mock drafts have the Dolphins drafting ahead of the Jags in any round? The Dolphins won one more game than the Jags so they have a better record.

Is everyone in this business an idiot?

If you pass on a DE in the 1st round, not sure how you so again in the 2nd... especially if Ogbah or Calhoun are sitting there.  Especially Ogbah.  I see him in the 1st round in a lot of drafts.

As far as the 3rd, lots of good players there.  Deion Jones, Nick Martin, Jalen Mills, etc...

4th round Striker isnt a bad pick.  Although other good players there depending on what we've picked early on.  Nick Vannett, Harlan Miller, Eric Murray, the two Temple defenders whose last name I cant spell.  I think Iannodis (??) would be a steal in the 4th.  He's a good player.

Not sure I'm on board with Ramsay in the 1st.  Is he really the next Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Polamalu?  Wish he had better hands.  Couldnt catch a cold.

Idiotic responses like this are why people get annoyed with you. Hopefully your hiatus is coming soon.

LOL Yes some of them are idiots. Fortunately NFL.com mocks have it right.

Remember weeks ago another poster saw mocks that had us owning the 39th pick? That was ridiculous.

NFL.com has a mock out with the Dolphins picking ahead of the Jags.

In the Jaguars team forums all you see is people whining to get rid of Wiz and upgrade C (I'm one of the very few willing to commit to Wiz long term...and certainly over the overrated and overpaid Mack) so we get a chance to get the best and maybe only plug and play C in the draft and have the interior of our oline set for a decade and that's a bad pick why exactly?

My problem with Wiz centers (pun intended) around the lack of push in the running game up the middle.

Would rather not draft a C high, as the early portion of the draft should be defense heavy. I'd be all for drafting say a Sebastian Tretola in the 4th and then re-signing Wiz. Wiz, Cann, and Bowanko could battle for the C spot and Tretola could handle the G spot in the scenario where Cann moved to C.

I like Cann at center. This is one of the deepest defensive drafts at our needs in recent memory. Let's focus our picks on getting this defense set for the next decade. Sign Osemele in FA slide Cann over and lets roll with a proven veteran line for once if they decide to let Wiz walk.

Interesting to see Kelvin Taylor go to the Pats in the 4th.

I'm not making the assumption that we will be able to sign the best olineman on the market...nor am I comfortable making the assumption that Cann could swap to C perfectly. It's certainly not that easy and I'd rather it be a 2nd or 3rd option.

Well Caldwell feels differently. The day he drafted him he said Cann has the ability to play both Guard and Center and said it again during his off season press conference. At this point I assume he's done his homework.

He has said it's a possibility. I have never got the feeling it's the #1 option for him either.

Quote:Yup not a fan. Would hate to see Spence go to Tennessee at 33. You would think Dave would easily move up a few spots if Spence is sitting their at the top of the 2nd.

Based on the trade chart, we could probably trade a 5th and swap 2nds and get Spence in that scenario.

1: Ramsey

2: Spence

3: Nassib

4: Tretola

That is probably what I would do in that mock.
Love it although I have doubts, at least currently, that Tretola will be available in the 4th. Take him in the 3rd

The Patriots had to completely abandon the run game after putting LeGarrette Blount on IR. I would say that is a sign they need a backup running back.

I like this idea as well

Tretola in the draft or Osemele in FA w/Cann moving to center. I like Wiz in pass protection but Yeldon needs more of a push from his O-Line

I think this is our best solution as well
