The first thing I learned in college was to follow the money and power to determine why people were doing what they do. After those folks are you guys, the True Believers, those who do what they do with a self reinforcing sense of moral superiority that leads to the kind of arrogance displayed in this thread.

What money or power would possibly want to cover up any kind of climate change? Hmm maybe follow your own advice...

I have no side to take in climate change I haven't the first clue. But I'll take the majority of scientists over politicians any day.

Cruz made the news over here this week with a laughable stat about increased sexual assaults since gun control. Interestingly though Aussie women carrying fire arms for self defense has never really happened, and the slight increase is more to do with women being more likely to report it happening these days. Sure it sounded great to the gun nuts though even if totally dishonest.

So you don't believe the scientists on gun control but you do on AGCC? Nice consistency.

What's the common consensus on gun control in the science/stats industry?

Australia has had no mass shootings 20 years after gun control. That is the fact. Also how can you conclude on gun control without having a defined question?

First you have to decide what gun control is, banning all guns? Banning some guns? Background checks?

Secondly what are you trying to achieve? No mass shootings? Or some other stat?

Australians are happy with gun control because it stopped what it aimed to stop, mass shootings. Nobody claims all gun crime would stop or all other crimes as most crime isn't gun related anyway.

Seems not. Maybe we should leave science to scientists and not politicians?

Good idea, first take the federal money out of it.

You don't feel dead, but you are.  You're now in Hell -- you're a Jaguars fan who must watch the team come close to competing, but never quite reach there.  Some of us figured this out a few years ago.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

You shouldn't bring something as divisive as the Jaguars into our political forum.

So, ummm, that wasn't exactly true either.
