I haven't seen Floyd ranked that high. Guessing he's you're #1 guy for us at 5?
This draft is made for the Jags. It is weakest at QB and WR. The 2 positions that the Jags are totally set at. It is strongest at DL and DB. 2 of the positions the Jags need the most.

So this could be a good year to trade down if we stay in the top 10. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
No Leonard Floyd is not ,my number 1 guy, I wouldn't be too mad if we did pick him. My guys would be VH3, Ramsey, Jack, Ragland, Floyd.
I agree that the 2 deepest positions in the draft are defensive tackle and cornerback. Look at the studs who aren't even on your top 5 list:
DT: Rankins, Butler and Clark CB: Fuller and Apple Any of those guys would be a great 2nd round pick. If the Jags are able to sign Malik Jackson, my preference in the 2nd round would be Fuller. Most have Apple being drafted in Round 1, but Fuller may fall due to his injury. In addition to adding Jackson (wishful thinking) and Fuller, I'd take Ramsay in the 1st and sign Vernon to play LEO with Fowler. That would leave OTTO and center as the greatest needs which still need to be addressed. I'm sure Caldwell already knows if he'll pursue Mack again. He may not be worth what they'd pay him, but it's Khan's money and he does have enough cap room so why not? He'd be a significant upgrade, especially being one year removed from his injury. Not sure who'd be a good OTTO candidate in the 3rd round, but that's when I'd take this position. Quote:I agree that the 2 deepest positions in the draft are defensive tackle and cornerback. Look at the studs who aren't even on your top 5 list: I think Fuller is extremely overated.

Look at the studs who aren't even on your top 5 list: Two NFL.com mocks have Eli Apple going in the first round - one early and one late. We definitely need to draft a center, but not before the third round. Dave Caldwell may choose not to pursue Alex Mack again, knowing we need a long-term answer at that position. Maybe it is just me, but I don't understand why people think signing Olivier Vernon is probable long before free agency starts. IMO we should always assume that is doubtful when discussing draft prospects. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

He benefited from having a couple of really good teammates on the line in Johnson and Zettal. He's never going to win on the edge in the NFL.

He's raw for sure but he has the physical materials to work with and a relentless motor. The guy went from a walk on in college to leading the FBS in sacks this season and breaking the PSU single season sack record. He may never be a double digit sack guy but he can get pressure on the passer. If you can't get a day 1 starter in the 3rd round then he's the perfect guy you'd consider drafting and developing.

If we can't get a Day 1 starter at his position in the first round I want a Day 1 starter in the second round. Why wait until the third round if we don't have to? Why wait until the third round if we don't have to? That's not at all what I said. You usually will get day one starters in the 1st and 2nd rounds. From the 3rd round on down it gets a little harder to find that.
