Quote:Like I said, rivalry game.

the stadium was full. Gator fans probably sold their tickets to Nole friends and family or random strangers. i dont even see your point. Doak was also empty during the Bowden fallout. i guess all it proves is that Gator fans are smarter and able to make a profit off bandwagon Nole fans who wanted tickets

It wasn't full.  I was there.  Huge holes in a few different sections.

No, it just shows that gator fans are changing.  They are used to winning.  They are spoiled just as FSU fans were.

I dont really have a dog in this fight, but I cant believe any FSU would ever talk about attendance.  Even this year in conference games FSU has had multiple sections that were half empty.  A buddy of mine sent me a picture from the Syracuse game right before kickoff and i thought it was Idaho week.

Holiday weekend and a meaningless game. Stop trying to make it out to be more than it is, because you're just making yourself look silly.

Look at who we're playing. The ACC outside of Clemson and maybe Virginia Tech is full of fan bases that don't travel, mainly because the conference is so spread out.

I live in Tallahassee now, and have gone to every home game. Doak has been full all year except for Bethune-Cookman and Idaho. One due to a downpour rolling through Tallahassee, and one because it's Idaho.

This has been one of the worst home schedules I have ever seen FSU play, and the fans did a good job packing out Doak for the most part. Just because they show you the visitor section on TV, or show you the student section half empty in the third quarter after another blowout doesn't mean we haven't filled Doak.

I also mentioned FSU has had attendance problem issues as well.  florida fans are changing and they aren't as loyal and hardcore as they used to be.

Yes...and we know we suck...so some people actually did stuff they've never done...enjoy the long weekend away from Gainesville. Why is that so hard for you to understand?

So all these fans that are now showing up for FSU are bandwagon fans? Is that your point?

Sure, there has definitely been fans coming out of the wood work.  That and people enjoy watching winning teams.

Okay.... If that makes you feel better. Rolleyes

I know it's sucking for you right now that us UF fans aren't upset about the loss yesterday...we knew we weren't going to win. If it makes you feel better I will pretend to stomp my feet and pout about it!

The house cleaning has begun at UF this morning...next year is a whole new season!

This is going to fall on deaf ears. There are some people here trying to push their buck tooth troll face agendas.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

they showed a view of the stadium on tv and it was full, so by "huge gaps" idk what you mean

is there some fan base that shows up and sells every seat to home fans even if the team is 4-8? besides the Green Bay Packers, there isn't one... so again, your point is meaningless

except when the Gators are good, you can bet on the swamp being full no matter the opponent. the Gator football tradition is just deeper than FSU has ever been. probably because UF has been relevant for longer
