Paul, I'm very sorry about what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you, both for a full recovery and for any pain you have to be as minimal as possible.

Prayers for you and your family. I had a family member pass away from cancer. She was diagnosed on 25 December 2015 and was gone 8 January 2016. You're still here and that is no accident so fight this thing with all you have.
I said goodbye to another one of my dogs today.
Our family decided that it's just too much to take care of them and take care of me also. My dogs deserve the best, and I can no longer give them that. My heart is breaking, but at least my four legged children are moving on to good lives with new, loving families. I will miss my boo boo though. Days like today are probably the most heart breaking times for someone fighting a serious or terminal illness.
What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.
I feel for you Dakota..... You're in my thoughts and prayers

I wanted to give everyone an update. I was scheduled for surgery today because they found more cancer in my shoulder. They thought it was limited to a small nodule in my right shoulder. Upon further review, it's much worse, and the cancer has returned in force in my right shoulder. This is where all the problems have been since this whole thing started almost 2 years ago. So, instead of going into surgery, the surgeon took me into an office and went over some scans, and showed me just how bad the cancer has become. It's in the bones again, and moving throughout my shoulder.
His suggestion is a 4 quarter amputation. In layman's terms, that means full amputation of my arm and shoulder. Everything goes. A lot of doctors are going to hold a meeting Friday about this, and I will get the official word on what they want to do next week. However, it's looking like I may be spending my last week or two with my right arm. Not sure how to feel about it just yet. It hasn't had time to digest mentally and emotionally. For now, I'll just hope for the best, but plan for the worst, just in case. So, that's where things stand. Cancer sucks worse and worse every day. If you know a cancer patient, give them a hug or a kiss when you see them. We need that kind of thing from time to time.

I will say stay positive, but I feel if I were in your position the words positive would have lost meaning. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Look at the bright side, you still will have a good arm/shoulder to hold your new wife with. You WILL overcome and beat this. I have faith in you. Don't give up! Prosthetics have come a long way so I'm sure that you will still have a good quality of life. You can do this. Stay as positive as you can and be strong. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
No words. Embarrasses me over the petty bickering on other boards.
My son in law is having open heart surgery tomorrow. Long story, but it's taking a toll. Perspective. God speed, Jag brother.
