^interesting article.  Would Bosa be effective in Jag's 5 tech role?  Do you spread him out wider in passing down situations?  Would you envision him rotating with Odrick or forcing Odrick into a rotation with Marks?  DC's earlier comment about how he would like to find a Freeney/Mathis-like combination would support Bosa's experience and play at left defensive end, going against right tackles, while Fowler is at Leo.  Thanks for the link.

In obvious passing downs I'd have a Dline of Fowler ,Marks ,Odrick and Bosa ,with Bosa,Fowler also playing 3 tech in some packages. Keep Miller on obvious running downs and keep him fresh. He was quality this year even with a large amount of snaps though so hard to tell, perhaps Marks drops off badly and Odrick and Miller get more snaps.

Would that give him the highest ceiling or the lowest floor?  Both?

Maybe Watt was too much but the dude looks like a monster. Im not one just to jump on the bandwagon with any player but after watching some of his games dude look pretty legit to me.

Technically Bosa would play 5-tech for us in a starting role but he can be moved along the defensive line like Michael Bennett. Obviously he probably wouldn't start for us his rookie year.

I can understand where folks compare Bosa to Watt re: criticisms.  Too big, won't be as productive as you'd like in the NFL, etc., etc...

Many Jag fans didn't want Watt for those very reasons coming out of college.

However, I don't think Watt is a guy you can compare his positives with.

A better comparison, I believe, is Jared Allen.

He may not be Watt, but he'd be good enough for the pick.  I'd be happier drafting Bosa that high than the last pass rusher we picked.

Now I really want Bosa to be ours. I thought before there was no way. Now it appears there may be an opportunity. This is a fun offseason.

well, it was 15 feet to the tarp then another 15 to the ground so, his floor is pret-ty low i'd say.

Rule of thumb: if you cant improve the back end then you upgrade the front end. He would be a huge upgrade.
