With Beason retiring, it definitely makes sense especially if they're looking at Jaylon Smith in the draft. Let Laurenaitis start for a season while Smith heals up, then move him into a backup role in 2017.

I would be interested in Long for sure. He Represents a nice pass rush floor for this team and I doubt he commands a large contract.


Yes Vernon is a better option, but only one team gets to walk away from free agency with Vernon. Having Long already on the team reduces a desperate need for this team. One we cannot risk playing the Vernon lottery.

What the hell does this even mean? Did you think anyone was clamoring for Thomas to be replaced by Cook? Really?

I'd take none of them.  Jared Cook would probably do well in our offense and be a nice pickup due to Thomas' frequent injuries, but I'm not looking to spend money on a TE.
