I'm not big on him for our team at all.  He'd be a 5-tech here and investing a high pick into that position, especially with Odrick, doesn't make sense.

Let's just give the Mayock love the Winston Wolf treatment here for a minute folks. Mayock has, in my opinion, a narrow view of players and has his fair share of misses as well. He's just as susceptible to being wrong on a guy as anyone else.

It's an opinion.   He watches a lot more tape than any of us, and he has a lot more experience evaluating players.   At the very least, it should cause some of us, myself included, to re-open our minds on Buckner and give him another look.

Oh absolutely it should and I'm all for that. I'm just trying to point out that he, like everyone else who has evaluated players, has missed in the past and will most likely miss again. He's a good analyst, but his word isn't gospel.

Seems like Mayock has less time now days as he is more involved with NFL Network.  Either way, he brings good info.  I think he's better at analyzing defensive prospects, particularly Safeties/DBs, than anything on offense.
