I am really confused by the uproar.

 

The team and probably the league has already had a talk with him. He wont even face scrutiny from the league which goes to show just how minor this is.

 

This is the downfall of social media and the internet. People panicking over the smallest things unnecessary.

 

If this was some scrub no name PS player it wouldnt have even garner a blurb.

I think this is the most likely story, but we'll never know.  I get that baby momma/girlfriend would be pretty upset if this were the case, but this makes him letting the two of them in the same vicinity even worse.  How are you going to let baby momma and your new hook up come face to face?!  (allegedly...)

I get what you're saying, but at the end of the day these were two adults who wanted to fight one another and neither of which were him. The NFL may tell he should pick better (girl)friends, but I don't really think he crossed any sort of line. Would I prefer that he was actively trying to diffuse the situation? Absolutely, and if one of them didn't want to participate, I'd have a completely different opinion on the matter. However, if two people are dead set on fighting one another, it isn't really the worst idea to not involve yourself in the actual fight.

I agree. This is more or less what I've been saying.^  

 

We also don't know how irrational the "baby-momma" was behaving. It seems she instigated the confrontation and it's possible she made it very difficult to be ignored.

Unless his child's mother was stalking them, he was slipping  a bit there.  Of course I remember being a few years older than him the first time I made the mistake of letting a crazy woman know too much about  my comings and goings. This may be a learning moment for Fowler.

Was he encouraging it?  Maybe not, but he obviously allowed it to happen.  The way he was standing before it happened and then moved his arm in a motion basically saying go at it then....and then she attacked.  If you can't see that then there is no point in even discussing it.  It's there for you to see, plain as day.
