It's funny that I showed the video to two women (that aren't football fans) at work and they shockingly saw the same thing I did.  When you take personal feelings out of the situation, its pretty obvious what happened.

I honestly would be ok with it.  If someone told me that his baby's mother was in a fight and he hurt himself breaking it up I would totally understand him trying to step in and break it up.  Is that really a crazy thing to understand?  Would there be people that would be upset with him for getting hurt and come here and say how mad they are?  Sure...but what is happening now?

Sorry friend, it's not nearly as minor as you want to make it to be.  I guess I think watching your baby's mother fight another woman and allowing it to happen is crazy.  That's really the two sides of this discussion.

 

If anyone here can willingly admit they would allow their baby's mother/wife/girlfriend to do what he did, then there is something wrong.

They say the whole video will be released later tonight. I'm thinking they showed the "worst" part simply to get the headlines and the rest of it won't really be much. 

 

Best scenario, they fight for a few seconds and he breaks them up. Worst, they fight for a few minutes while he just stands there and watches.

 

Either way, Goodell will suspend him for 6 years with no further evidence needed.

Did he use bad judgment? Sure.  


Is it cause for concern?  Not really.  He didn't hit either of the women.  He didn't hit anyone at all in fact.  People are acting like they'd have broken it up, but they don't know the circumstances of the fight or how bad it had been before.  Nobody got seriously hurt. This really isn't a big deal.  He's not the next Blackmon or Ray Rice.

First off, why is he responsible for breaking up a fight? Because they're women? Uhhh, ok.  I keep trying to be upset about this, but I just can't.

 

What if he had gone in to be a peacemaker and the one not on his side slapped him in the face or punched him in the jewels, and then he back hands her or just pushes her away. Everyone would say, WHY DIDN'T HE JUST STAY OUT OF IT. He stayed out of it. He literally did nothing. It's not like someone was drowning, it was a fight between women. Women can fight and don't need a man to step in.
