Ramsey has the size, length, jamming ability, and speed they look for in this defense. Hargreaves doesn't. Is Hargreaves probably a better pure cover corner? Slightly. But Ramsey is just the better fit at corner with the versatility to be a hybrid safety as well.

A few of the NFL.com guys got Spence going in the late 1st. Wonder if Dave would consider moving up for him.

This is interesting because the last couple days I have begun to feel like VH3 may be our guy.


This time of year everyone gets bogged down and distracted by this guy's measurables, and this guy's forty time, and this guy's versatility, and this guy's potential.


But if you reduce it to it's base:


What have we been really bad at on defense? Getting turnovers.


Who is pretty good at getting turnovers in this draft? VG3.


I'm just starting to feel like it's one of the Dave picks that no one is fully expecting but it makes a lot of sense and will probably happen. Maybe. Imo.

The only problem with that, is Dave hasn't discussed corner help. He has talked about addressing the FS spot and he has talked about upgrading the front 7. 

 

Bosa, Jack or Ramsey will be there and all 3 play positions that DC has said we need to address.

How many folks had the Jags going TE in the second round last year before they signed Julius Thomas?  I remember many on this very board planning on Walford, Williams, or Funchess in the second or third round last year.

QB choices are pretty hard to predict I think. When you find the one you love, you go all in on him.

 

The Fowler pick was pretty obvious since we needed a pass rusher and he was one of the best. This year, we need front 7 and FS help so I would assume thats the pick since a stud will be there.

So he's been an analyst for around 10 years, funny I never heard of him until now. Lately it seems like every year theres more and more of these guys putting out so many mock drafts its gotten ridiculous, but I think its because of the NFL moving the draft date back. Last year was especially painful to read the billion mock drafts before the draft finally came. 

 

I agree with Frailbones, I think theyll be drafting one of Ramsey, Jack, or Bosa. The needs are just too obvious on this team to be anything but transparent at this point IMO. Its not like 3 years ago when they couldve drafted any position.
