Mackenzie Alexander, CB, Clemson

Quote:Alexander simply isn't running because he pulled his hamstring badly in the national championship game.
yeah, it isnt like the guy is a top 5 lock.  With a fast 40 him and VH3 could improve their draft stock

That hasn't been proven.  Should it be, I have no problem with that whatsoever.

When it plays out, we'll see.  Won't we?  I'm not predicting anything, just sharing an opinion.  Mine are wrong all the time.

You think so?  What do you think he runs?  I say low 4.4s

If Hargreaves is there when Tampa picks and they dont take him they will regret it

What did I say that was Homer?  I said he weighed 15 pounds more than Alexander, may bad its 14.  You come on here giving false info when they weighed in today.  At least check the facts when you try to call someone out.

So you're saying the link is wrong.

Could be.  Depends on what their actual playing weight truly is, vs what cbs is reporting.

I already covered the combine discrepancy.  It's common for players to drop weight for the circus, so they can hopefully inflate their other measurements.

Don't confuse combine weight for playing weight.

Some actually try to bulk up for their interview, to prove they can translate at the same position in the NFL.  Like tweeners proving they can play end, instead of being relegated to rush olb or 4-3 olb, where they may not have the skillset.

Playing weight is what to gauge.

EDIT: I'll add this as well -

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/v...id=2555299

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2016/profiles/m...id=2555177

NFL.com has Alexander outweighing him by three pounds.

Is that me "lying" or being "wrong," or is that what some outlets are actually reporting?

"There's something about VH's size that makes me wonder how he'll handle more physical, veteran savvy WRs at the NFL level."

Thats all well and good, great info but I'm referring to the statement above, Alexander is better equipped to deal with physical receivers in NFL but size wise they are practically equal with VH3 being heavier.

Jehu Chesson probably thinks Alexander > VHIII.

I'm beginning to see the fallacy here.  You're trying to equate "heavier" with being able to handle more physical receivers.  All else equal, there are players (like Hargreaves) who don't play as physical or handle physical WRs as well as others.  I've already described this in Fuller, and explained why I feel he's a better value in the second than Hargreaves with our first pick.

Yes, but they are saying it has to do with playing style rather than size like you implied.

Tweet from Mike Kaye (@mike_e_kaye) - Was told Clemson CB Mackenzie Alexander has been in high demand. Source tells me he's had at least 19 interviews scheduled this weekend.

I'll pass. If an average college QB (Rudock) and a good-not-great college WR (Chesson) can roast VH3, then I don't care to see what duos like Carr/Cooper will do.

ok, you can look at one or 2 games and ignore the rest of his great college career. Ill look at his career, physical traits, and combine. You would think Tom Brady was horrible if you seen the game where he had 4 picks against the Chiefs 2 years ago before he went on to win the SB
