I would be absolutely shocked if Carolina doesn't throw the tag on him tomorrow.

Quote:If Norman hits the market I would give him a blank check. He is a true shut down corner with good frame. Him and House would make a great combo with Colvin in the slot!

Vernon and Norman would be a dream. How much would Norman command and how much would he end up getting?

Probably just shy of $20 million per year. Thinking $17 or 18 is fair, but may be bid up to 20.

@Rand_Getlin Despite reports on Trumaine Johnson receiving the franchise tag from the #Rams, I firmly believe it's going to be used on Janoris Jenkins.

UGH!!! TRUMAINE WAS TAGGED!

Jackson

Smith

Allen

Weddle

That would be a good haul to me

Spend the big $$$ on Jackson and Smith and get a good cheaper Guard and a veteran safety in Weddle. Then draft Jack or BAP(defensively)

Tashaun Gipson | CLE

(March 1, 2016 8:47 PM EST)

The Newark Star-Ledger's Jordan Raanan "heard" free agent FS Tashaun Gipson "would welcome the idea" of playing for the Giants.

No team may be more desperate for a deep, centerfield-type safety than the Giants. Expect them to exhaust all avenues to find a free safety after failing to replace Antrel Rolle last offseason and cycling through a host of warm bodies at the position. Gipson shouldn't command a ton following a down year.

Forget the big city life Gipson. We don't have state income taxes and year around beach fun!!!

Giants are our biggest competitors, IMO. They desperately need defense like we desperately need defense. We may have more money, but they have the market. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Hence the need to offer just a bit more than most...
